The Bern Brighton Biking or Multi sport helmet is a hard hat - just like the Bern Muse, but with no peak! You get the same progressive styling with sink fit and brock foam plus you get 10 air vents, four at the back and six on the top.



Features Include:

  • All Season - people buy Bern because they can wear their lids all year round. One lid for all action sports.
  • Summer lining - soft open cell foam for a luxuriously comfortable fit.
  • Sink Fit - People like the low profile and surround fit and feel of these helmets. The shape is more comfortable and way cooler! Sink fit sits lower on your head, and is more streamlined than a regular fitting helmet.
  • Integrated visor - just looks better than a plain round dome on your head! It keeps the sun, rain and snow out of your eyes too!
  • 10 air flow vents - 4 at the back and 6 on top. How cool do you want to be?
  • Eye wear channel - unique channels inside the helmet allow for comfort and fit with most glasses and sunglasses.
  • Upgradable - add a winter liner to keep your neck and ears warm when the weather gets cold.
  • Upgradable - add an audio liner for music on the move.
  • Upgradable - add a goggles clip to convert your lid for winter sports use.


Brock Foam

  • Multi Impact - Unlike traditional EPS, Brock Foam can be dropped and can withstand multiple impacts without compromising integrity.
  • Custom Fit - Brock Foam is relatively soft and flexible, allowing it to adapt to a wide variety of head shapes and sizes. To quote Bern's Director of Helmet Design - 'These are the best god damn fitting helmets in the world!"
  • Light Weight - much lighter than the same helmet in EPS. On our scales, brock foam lids weighed just 500g, with EPS 20% heavier at 600g.
  • Breathable - Water can pass through the foam, so air can circulate freely - helping to keep your head cool.
  • No Sweat - Action sports can create hot heads but evaporating sweat coats the waterproof beads of brock foam and rapidly disperse as air flows through the foam.
  • Raw Edge - An unfinished, rough looking edge to the foam lining gives brock lids a subtly aggressive urban feel. It also allows air to enter and circulate within the foam.
  • Comfortable - due to the light weight, custom fit and breathability - you soon forget you are wearing it!
  • Low Profile - the foam is thinner than on the EPS version or any other EPS helmet - so it does not look like you are riding with a big lump on your head!
  • Brock foam hard hats have EU certification for water sports but not for street or snow sports. They are a hard hat, not a helmet. They are designed for multiple lower force impacts rather than single high impact collisions. In our opinion, this makes them more suitable for most action sports because a certified EPS helmet should be discarded and replaced after every collision and after every time the helmet is either dropped or bashed. If you do not do this, the integrity of an EPS helmet could have been compromised and the helmet - despite it's certification - rendered useless! An EPS lid is essential if you are into motorised sports or extreme speed. For most other people a brock lid is all you need!


Sizing

  • Measure the circumference of your head using a soft tape measure, running the tape over two of your fingers (to ensure it is not too tight a fit) and around your head at the widest point, from forehead, across the temples and around the back.

The Bern Brighton is available in 4 variants:
* Water - Closed cell waterproof lining, tough and durable.
* Summer - Non-waterproof open cell super comfy foam lining
* Winter - Same as summer plus you get a removable winter knit liner, to cover your neck and ears, and a goggle clip - to hold your ski goggles in place.
* Audio - Same as winter but with integrated audio speakers.
This helmet is the 'Audio' Variant
