On a mission to slay. This binding can do 1260s. Actually all bindings can, but the Mission does them when strapped to riders like Shaun White and Peetu Pirroinen. When Burton set about developing the Mission back in 2001 they had one goal: make a binding that could kick ass across the entire mountain. Ten years later and the focus remains the same.

The Burton Mission is still the best selling all-round binding on the market. It defines everything an all-purpose binding should be, the forget-its there fit of an ergonomically canted, super lightweight hi-back joins forces with an indestructible yet playful baseplate. The Living Hinge Team highback is lighter and ergonomically shaped to follow the contours of your left and right legs for maximum control and comfort, while the 30% short glass chassis provides a little more response than the Custom but enough play. Atop this sits a new FullBed Cushioning system that soaks up vibration completely from heel to toe for chatter free control, as well as plush Superstrap ankle straps that cradle and secure your boot and Primo toe straps that pull your boots back toward the highback for seamless boot-to-binding connection and enhanced board control.
