This is the DVS Westridge snow boot. This line of snow boots is the perfect way to keep your feet dry yet stylish in the snowy mountains, or rainy England! So if you're not feeling the moon boots, and are getting fed up with getting soaking feet through your old skate shoes on your way to the bar at night, these are the kicks for you! These Mark Frank Montoya boots are super padded and comfy, and have propper heavy weather soles on them.

Dvs shoes are one of the biggest skateboard shoe manufacturers in the industry. The company was started in Torence, California in 1995 by Kevin Dunlap and Tim Gavin. They now have one of the best skate teams in the world, sponsoring skaters such as Daewon Song, Steve Berra, Kerry Getz, Jeron Wilson and loads more.

Comfy, warm, stylish, good grip
Got these boots (in a size 9, black) for my boyfriend's Christmas present last year (he chose). The boots are really warm and waterproof. They have excellent grip in snow and icy conditions (I know - holding on to him wearing these boots stopped me from falling over!). They're quite stylish too and sturdy while still looking like a trainer/sneaker (however because of this we were once stopped getting into a bar). He has worn these in England throughout last year's snow as well as on our boarding holiday, however I can't recall the weight of these boots so it might be best to wear them whilst travelling so as not to sacrifice too much weight allowance.
