If your budget can stretch to it, it is well worth the extra money for a pair of near 'top of the range' NXT bindings by Flow. The extras you get include:
  • Super light weight but strong construction, due to the alloy chasis. Cheaper models use a combination of plastics

  • 4 micro pump mini ratchets, in combination with the I-Flex power strap - gives you the opportunity to precisely fine tune the fit to the exact shape of your boots - total control over your snowboard - no wonder Flow bindings are worn by so many of the top championship winning riders.

  • We all know the BIG advantage of Flow bindings - you can easily put them on and take them off whilst standing up. They are the ultimate step-in binding because they work with ANY snowboard boots. Well now, because of the 4 micro pump mini ratchets, you can also use the bindings like traditional strap bindings. ie you can also sit down to put them on or take them off - giving you the best of both worlds. Simply flick the quick release ratchets open and the power strap lifts off!

  • In the NXT range there are 4 models FS = freestyle, FR = Freeride AT = All Terrain and FX = ****ing Xpensive!!! In our opinion, the differences are purely cosmetic. I defy any rider to notice the difference in performance in a blind test. Flow argue that the FS is a little softer and more forgiving than the FR. It may be but we honestly could not tell the difference when we tested them - apart from the looks.
