In the event of an avalanche the only effective way to quickly locate a person buried under the snow is with an avalanche probe. The Ortovox 320+ PFA is class leading extra long avalanche probe which is extremely quick and easy to assemble - important when time is of the essence!
The professional aluminum probe with sturdy steel cable pull line. Like all Ortovox premium probes, the 320+ is delivered with the "pfa" quick-release tensioning system. The probe is stretched within seconds and just as quickly collapsed and put together. Slackening of the segments can be ruled out! The individual segments have a diameter of 13 mm, which makes the probe very stiff and thus accurate. The burial depth can be easily read to allow planning of appropriate shoveling strategies. The grip sleeve made of EVA foam provides the necessary comfort during probing practices. It fits the hand easily and ensures warm fingers.
Like all Ortovox probes, the 320+ pfa is delivered with a practical quick-release cover.

  • Steel cable pull line - The most reliable pull line system delivering maximum safety and piece of mind.
  • Quick-release cover - All Ortovox probes are delivered with the high quality cover system that do without any drawstrings at all. Just compress the opening and pull out probe.
  • Depth marker - Here you can read the burial depth and accordingly schedule your shovelling strategy.
  • PFA tensioning system - PFA stands for patented flash assembly and therefore for reliable tensioning within seconds and just as quick release and folding. Tensioning: Simply hold the last element and remove the cap. The elements are secured and the probe is ready for use. Release: Press the quick release up with the thumb and the probe is ready to be folded together.
  • AL 7075 T6 - Light and stiff and thus the aluminum of our choice for all aluminum probes. We use different tube diameters of 11-13 mm – here it means: the thinner the lighter, but less stiff.
  • Anti-slip grip made of EVA foam - The probe fits pleasantly in the hand due to EVA construction foam while the hands are protected, because the material conducts cold very badly.
  • Extendable -For this probe, there are extension segments. Perfect for any professional use.
