Featuring the revolutionary SPR lacing system, combing the benefits of traditional laces with the convenience of wire boa systems.

The SP Base Snowboard boot is an all mountain boot with a medium flex, making it ideal for all kinds of riding by all kinds of riders. What really makes these boots a pleasure to own is the SPR lacing system. You pull the laces like you would on any other boots. The laces, however, are the slightly thinner draw cord variety which allows them to roll over 4 mini ratchet 'winches'. Rather like on a sailing yacht, when a rope is wrapped around a winch you can effortlessly pull and gain incredible amounts of tension whilst at the same time the rope (or lace in this instance) can not slip back the other way. This allows you to lace the boot to the perfect tension around the critical ankle area, where the first pair of mini winches are located. Then, you can independently set the perfect tension for the upper part of the boot, using the upper most pair of mini winches. There are a pair of cleats at the top to lock everything off. Finally, you tuck the lace ends away into a very neat little housing. It is quicker and easier to do, than it is to read about it! Fast and simple, with no slippage!
