Definitions
Absolute-Snow.co.uk, Absolute-Skate.co.uk, Absolute-Street.co.uk, Absolute-Watersports.co.uk and Absolute-Rock.co.uk are the trading names of The Boarding Company Limited, registered in England under number 5409600.
All references to the ’company’, ’us’, ‘I’ or ’we’ shall refer to The Boarding Company Limited.
All references to the customer shall mean the person or persons purchasing or agreeing to purchase goods from
The Boarding Company Limited.
All references to the ‘website’ shall include reference to all URL’s owned by The Boarding Company Limited.
General
By using any of our websites or by making a purchase from The Boarding Company Limited, you are agreeing to these terms
and conditions.
All transactions with The Boarding Company Limited will be governed by these terms and conditions, whether executed online, by e-mail,
fax, telephone, in person or by post.
All contracts shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and any dispute between us will be resolved
exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
Nothing in these terms and conditions will be deemed to affect your statutory rights.
Products
Products are sold singly unless otherwise stated.
Every effort is made to ensure the colours depicted on our websites match as closely as possible those of
the actual product. Due to technical limitations, some colours may vary.
Product specifications are checked to the best of our ability and, whilst every effort has been made to make them accurate,
no responsibility will be accepted for errors and omissions. We reserve the right to alter product specifications without
notice.
The Boarding Company Limited accepts no liability for any loss or injury caused to individuals, property, possessions or third parties
by the breakage (accidental, deliberate or otherwise) or misuse or manufacturing or design fault of any product supplied by
us.
If we sell out of a product or are unable to supply you with a product you have purchased, we will offer you alternative products or provide a full refund. We shall not be liable for any compensation claims for any breach of contract or any consequential losses or inconvenience you may have incurred.
Prices
All prices include UK VAT at the current rate, where and when applicable.
All prices, invoices, transactions and receipts will be in £ Sterling. The website offers customers the opportunity to view
prices in other currencies purely for illustrative purposes, based on estimated exchange rates.
It is the policy of The Boarding Company Limited to offer goods at the most reasonable price possible, however, if due to circumstances
beyond our control we deem it necessary to alter any advertised price, special offer or promotion, we reserve the right
to do so without prior notice.
All recommended retail prices (RRPs) are those provided by the manufacturers or distributors of the products in question.
All Previous Prices are those offered by The Boarding Company Limited for at least 28 days during the preceeding 6 months.
Payments
We accept the following payment methods:
- Credit and debit cards on-line using our secure server or by telephone including Visa, Mastercard, Solo, Maestro, Electron and Delta. We do not accept American Express or Diners Club.
- Bank Transfer. This method may be required if your credit or debit card fails our security checks. Please request our bank details when placing your order.
The Boarding Company Limited reserves the right to:
- Conduct our own enquiries into the validity of any credit or debit card and/or to use the services of any agent in so doing.
- Restrict delivery to the cardholder’s address.
- Decline any transaction or sale for any reason whatsoever without declaring the reasons for such action.
- Delay shipments until satisfied as to the authenticity of any payment via whatever means.
Force Majeure
The Boarding Company Limited will not be liable for non-performances of our obligations caused or resulting from industrial disputes or
any other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the company such as acts of God, riots, civil commotion, flood, fire
and legislation. If by reason of such circumstances it shall become impossible within a reasonable time for the company to
wholly or partly supply the items ordered then liability will be limited to the value of the items already supplied together
with any associated delivery charges.

Upon visiting our website you are required to accept the terms and conditions listed below in return for receiving information
about our company, services and any other business information supplied.
No liability is accepted for third party websites linked to or from or accessible through our websites nor do we approve or endorse the contents of any such

Customer Complaints
We aim to deal with all complaints as effectively as possible. In the first instance, please telephone to discuss your issue as
in most cases a quick chat can resolve the issue. If further information is required, we may ask you to provide details by e-mail
or in writing.
Promotions & Codes
From time to time we may well send you a gift voucher or promotional code via e-mail. These offers exclude boats, dinghis, canoes and avalanche safety packages. Offers cannot be used in conjunction with our birthday present promotion, club or association discount or any other voucher, promotion or offer. Individual offers and promotions are subject to additional terms and conditions as specified in the various emails announcing these specific promotions, codes or vouchers.
Returns
If you are not 100% satisfied with any item for any reason (excluding warranty claims for damaged or faulty goods) please read our Returns Policy below and complete a Returns Form. You will be issued with full instructions and the correct return address. There is no need to telephone us.
To return an item, please adhere to the following policy.
- Returned items must be received within 14 days of purchase to qualify for a refund.
- Returned items must be received within 28 days of purchase to qualify for a credit note.
- Return items received after 28 days of purchase will not be refundable and will not be credited.
- At Christmas, returns received before 14th January will qaulify for a refund, or before 21st Janauary for a credit note, providing the purchase was made after 1st November. Returns received on or after 21st January will not qualify for a credit note or a refund.
- All new items must be returned unused, in re-saleable new condition and with all labels and packaging intact and undamaged. All new return items must be returned unused, with all labels attached and in original condition. The outer packaging must be resealed to the original state and undamaged.
- We will refund return delivery charges if we despatch faulty or damaged goods, goods not ordered by the customer or substitute goods which the customer prefers not to accept. In all instances our prior consent to the item being returned is required and we reserve the right to stipulate the return delivery method. If you choose an alternative delivery method, this will be at your own expense. Customers shall pay return delivery charges in all other instances. We will not refund any original delivery charges (from when we first despatched the goods to you) unless you cancel your order within 7 days of purchase. With the exception of warranty claims you are free to choose whichever delivery method you like for returning items to us, which will be at your own expense. We recommend using a signed for and insured delivery service.
- Returned items should be packaged well with a copy of the original purchase receipt (sent to you by e-mail) and a brief note explaining the reason for the return. If you can not print off your original purchase order, please type a note to include the full name of the person who placed the order, the order reference number commencing B------, and a list of the items you are returning (to include make, model, size and colour).
- When returning items to us, we recommend using a signed for and insured delivery service.
- With the exception of warranty claims (see below), you are free to choose whichever delivery method you like for returning items to us, which will be at your own expense.
- We will e-mail you when we have processed your returned items; there is no need to telephone or to e-mail us.
- All refunds will be credited to the same card used to make the original purchase. It this card has expired, been lost or stolen we will offer a credit note.
- We are unable to provide refunds for items you despatch but which are not received by us or for items which are returned without any identification. If a returned item is lost in transit, you will need to make a claim against the carrier.
- If your goods or packaging arrive damaged, please make sure you notify the delivery company when you sign for receipt of the goods. Unless this is done, transit damage can not be claimed.
- The return of items which qualified the purchaser to a discount (such as buy a snowboard, boots and bindings to save an additional 10%) shall result in the forfeit of the discount unless replacement items are re-ordered prior to the return being made.
- Snowboard bags which have been used to despatch your snowboard, cannot be returned, credited or refunded as they will have become used items.
- DVDs and videos can not be returned or refunded if their seal is broken.
- We do not make any charges for returning items to us, unless the item was purchased on eBay, when a fee will be charged to cover our eBay costs and handling £5 for items under £100. £10 for items over £100.
- This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights or any claim you may legitimately have under the terms of the manufactures’ warranty or the Sale of Goods Act.
- Skis which have had bindings drill mounted onto them, either by us or by the customer, can not be returned or refunded. This does not affect skis which have bindings mounted onto binding plates.
- Goods returned to us from outside of the EU must be accompanied by all of the relevant customs declarations and documents which must clearly state that the parcel is a ‘Customer Return’. We strongly recommend that this is also clearly written on the outside of the parcel. Failure to comply could result in your parcel not being delivered or in customs charges being re-charged to your card.
- If we send you wrong or faulty items, goods you never ordered or substitute goods you prefer not to accept we will refund or issue a credit note for your return delivery charges providing:
1) You obtain our consent by email using the contact us form on our website
2) You use the return delivery method that we stipulate
We will issue refunds up to the value of the original transaction. For refunds in excess of the original transaction value credit notes will be issued. You shall pay return delivery charges in all other instances.
Fast Track Exchanges
We do not offer a traditional exchange service; instead we ask you to return unwanted items for a refund and to re-order online
in the usual way. We appreciate the urgency of most orders and this is the quickest way to ensure you receive your replacement items
in time for your ski or snowboard trip. Everything on our website is in stock BUT items sell quickly and stock is constantly changing
so waiting for an item to be returned before a replacement is sent could lead to complications, delay and disappointment.
Warranty
Most goods we sell are covered by a manufacturer's or distributor's warranty.
Manufacturer's or distributor's warranties cover faulty design, manufacture and materials but exclude faults or damage caused by impact, wear and tear, accident, neglect or misuse.
Warranty terms and conditions vary according to the manufacturer/distributor.
Please contact the manufacturer/distributor to confirm their specific terms and conditions.
All warranty claims are at the manufacturer's or distributor's sole discretion.
Any partially or wholly successful warranty claim shall infer no admission of liability on the part of the retailer, the distributor or the manufacturer.
Manufacturer's warranties are in addition to and do not replace your statutory rights.
Used and ex-demonstration items are sold with no warranty.
Examples of things which would normally be covered under warranty, providing there is no evidence of impact, accident, neglect or misuse include:
- Broken or missing components.
- Split seams on bags or clothing.
- Misaligned stitching.
- Delamination of snowboard or skateboard decks.
- Structural defects in any product.
- Spinning or misaligned deck inserts.
- Fogging on goggles caused by a defective gasket seal.
- Plus a whole host of other issues specific to individual products.
When a product has been used, examples of things which are not covered under warranty include:
- Damage to any snowboard equipment, ski equipment or clothing when used on a dry slope, when coming into contact with any object or surface other than snow or arising from the use of ski lifts or chair lifts. Snowboard bindings accidentally trapped under a descending seat are likely to snap and are not covered under warranty.
- Damage to snowboards or skis caused by the improper mounting of bindings, including the use of incorrect mounting hardware. Base dimples can arise on a snowboard if mounting hardware is over tightened. Base protrusions or 'popping' can occur if the mounting hardware used is too long
- Damage to clothing or equipment caused by contact with the metal edges of snowboards, skis or other sharp objects.
- Damage to any wakeboard or water sports equipment coming into contact with any object or surface other than water.
- Damage to any sporting equipment caused by an 'unconventional' or 'heavy' landing following a jump, aerial manoeuvre, accidental fall or misuse.
- Impact damage to skateboards, scooters and BMX bikes.
- Classic skateboard deck snaps or pressure cracks (typically across the deck above the trucks) caused by one or both feet being in the wrong position on the deck when landing.
- Chips, scrapes and abrasions to paintwork or the surface material on any sporting equipment.
- Chips, cracks or breaks to the wooden structure of a skateboard deck, other than delamination.
- Cross threaded screws or screw inserts.
- Damage caused by the use of incorrect screw drivers, spanners or tools.
- Oxidisation or minor surface rust on metal surfaces or edges.
- Damage to bags or luggage caused by baggage handlers or by overloading the bag.
- Rips, tears or abrasion to fabrics and materials.
- Loss of waterproofing properties, discolouration or fading of fabrics if the manufacturer's washing instructions are not followed.
- Fading caused by prolonged exposure to UV light. Please note, UV rays can be particularly harsh in the mountains and colours will fade over time.
- Natural variations in colour, texture or appearance due to the use of natural materials or the hand made nature of some products.
- Material breakdown caused by the use of solvents, adhesives or resins.
- Damage caused by any post-purchase modification or customisation.

How to Make a Claim
To make a warranty claim, please complete our Warranty Claims Form.
Please be sure to attach photographs clearly illustrating the specific problems you have encountered.
Wherever possible, we will use your photographic evidence to evaluate your claim so you may not need to return the goods to us.
Please do NOT return goods until we ask you to do so.
Sometimes goods will need to be sent direct to manufacturers or distributors, or they may not need to be returned at all.
Depending on the circumstances, the cost of returning goods may be reclaimable but prior agreement will need to be reached.
You will need to use an economical delivery method for returning items.
Royal Mail Special Delivery is not usually either necessary or economical.
Under the Sale of Goods Act your contract is with us, the retailer, and not with the manufacturer or distributor.
When making a warranty claim, we should always be your first point of contact.
After you have contacted us, due to the technical nature of the products we sell, we reserve the right to require customers to liaise directly with manufacturers or distributors in the event of a warranty claim.
We will inform you if this should be the case.
Delivery Policy
Immediate Despatch
Everything on our website is in stock, ready to despatch, unless specifically stated otherwise. We aim to despatch within
2 working days but 99.9% of orders placed before 2.00pm Monday to Friday are despatched the same day. We are unable to
despatch on weekends or Bank Holidays.
You decide the delivery method when you checkout
We offer all Royal Mail services, including first and second class, recorded and Special Delivery (guaranteed next day).
We offer a choice of courier services, allowing you to specify the time of day for your delivery. (postcode exclusions apply)
We reserve the right to use any carrier to deliver your parcel, which may or may not be the one you select at the checkout. Where possible we will, however, select a carrier offering a commensurate service.
Free Delivery:
- On highlighted promotional items across the website – including to worldwide destinations.
- On all products in our Skate, BMX and Rock departments.
- On all orders over £100 delivered to mainland England, Wales, Scottish Lowlands and BFPO addresses.
- On all orders over £250 delivered to the rest of the UK, including Northern Ireland, UK Islands and Scottish Highlands - Postcode Definitions.
- On all orders over £250 delivered inside the EU with the exceptions of Azores, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Lithuania, Madeira, Malta and Romania.
- Free delivery excludes bulky items such as some watercraft.
- Up-front delivery prices
- No nasty surprises when you checkout!
- Delivery options and prices are shown on every product page and within your shopping basket.
- We deliver to any address , not just your card billing address. Choose work, friends or family if you wish.
- We deliver to BFPO providing your parcel does not exceed 1.05m in length. We are not able to deliver to a military base if you do not use a BFPO address. If you provide us with a military or BFPO address to which we are unable to deliver for either of these reasons, you may be liable for return and repeat delivery charges.
- We ship worldwide and offer a choice of services when you checkout. Please e-mail for a quote if your country does not appear in our list.
- We are unable to deliver to any PO BOX address.
- We will refund return delivery charges if we despatch faulty or damaged goods, goods not ordered by the customer or substitute goods which the customer prefers not to accept. In all instances our prior consent to the item being returned is required and we reserve the right to stipulate the return delivery method. If you choose an alternative delivery method, this will be at your own expense. Customers shall pay return delivery charges in all other instances.
- Delivery charges include packaging and handling and are based on weight. Product weights are estimated to include packaging, the weight of which may vary.
- Undelivered parcels will be re-delivered at the customers expense.
- Undelivered parcels, returned to us by a courier, will be subject to a return delivery charge.
- Quoted delivery times have been provided by our carriers and, with the exception of Royal Mail Special Delivery, are not guaranteed because once a parcel leaves our premises, it is in the hands of a third party carrier.
- Damage in transit can only be claimed if the damage is reported upon signing for the goods, or if we are notified within 2 working days of the parcel being delivered.
- All deliveries must be accepted upon presentation by our delivery agents, even if you no longer want the products for any reason what so ever. Refusal to accept delivery of a parcel will render you liable for a repeat or return delivery charges which can be substantial.
- We shall not be liable for delays, losses or damage incurred after the date of despatch, which are at the customer’s risk.
- All delivery conditions and charges are subject to change without prior notice.
- Additional terms and conditions imposed by our carriers shall also apply.
If there is a problem with the parcel you are receiving, please still accept the delivery and then contact us so we can attempt to resolve the issue for you
Your Right To Cancel
You will enter into a legally binding contract to purchase the items in your shopping basket as soon as your payment has been received by The Boarding Company Limited either in our bank account, our merchant account or our PayPal account.
Your card will be charged at the moment you place your order(s). Payment will not be deferred until your items have been despatched.
Under the distance selling regulations you have the right to cancel a purchase contract within 7 working days of making the payment or receiving the goods, whichever is the later.
To cancel a purchase contract, you must inform us in writing within this 7 day period. We recommend using recorded or special delivery to ensure we receive your notification in time and to ensure you have some form of proof of posting.

If you cancel a purchase contract under the distance selling regulations, you must return the goods to us and take reasonable care to ensure the goods are not damaged in transit.
If you select an enhanced delivery service, ie anything other than the cheapest or free delivery service offered at the checkout, this will constitute a separate service contact distinct from the contract entered into for the purchase of goods.
Upon entering a delivery service contract with The Boarding Company Limited, you consent to The Boarding Company Limited providing this service before the end of the distance selling regulations 7 day cancellation period. Your cancellation rights for this service will end as soon as we start to pack your parcel.

Claiming your free or half price bag is simple - just add the bag of your choice to your shopping basket AFTER you have added your snowboard, skis or wakeboard and the total will be automatically calculated when you checkout.
Terms And Conditions
- Bags will be used instead of packaging to protect your snowboard, skis or wakeboard during the shipping process. Bags will not be wrapped in additional packaging materials and will therefore arrive with you in a used condition. Bags may arrive with scuffs, marks or even some damage from the shipping process but should still be in a re-usable condition. This method of despatch means you get either a free or very cheap bag (usually at below our cost price) and, together, we do a little bit to cut down on environmental packaging waste. We are sorry, but if your bag does arrive damaged or dirty, we are not able to provide a repair, replacement or refund. If you are intending to give the bag as a present, please be aware.
- Wakeboard purchases must include a wakeboard and wakeboard bindings in the same transaction to qualify.
- Only one free bag will be included per qualifying item.
- We are only able to provide bags which correspond to the sporting items purchase, ie. we cannot offer permutations such as ‘a free wakeboard bag with a snowboard’.
- We reserve the right to supply alternative bags if we have sold out of the model(s) shown.
- Half price bags are offered at 50% off the RRP (Recommended Retail Price) quoted on our website.
- Sometimes our computer can become ‘confused’ if you chop and change the items in your basket. In the event that this happens, we reserve the right to cancel your order and refund your card.
Exclusions:
- Children’s snowboards, skis and wakeboards because a) Our bags would be way too big; and b) What kid carries their own equipment anyway?
- Any snowboard, pair of skis or wakeboard which we do not hold in stock and is despatched to you direct from our suppliers. All such products are clearly indicated on our website. This includes any snowboard, skis or wakeboard which we have especially ordered for you from our suppliers.
- Wakeboard bags. Due to our extremely competitive pricing and low margins on wakeboards, we are not able to offer free bags – sorry! You can, however, benefit from the half price wakeboard bag offer.
Extra 10% Off Snowboard/Bindings/Boots Packages
In addition to any other savings available on the individual items, when you purchase an adult snowboard, snowboard boots and bindings in a single transaction, a further 10% will be knocked off the price of each of these items. Voucher Codes/Promo Codes
Very occasionally, we will issue voucher codes to our customers. These codes are extremely exclusive and limited. If we find that a code has been posted on the internet on a voucher code specific website, it will be immediately withdrawn and the usage terminated.

- We never notify anyone in advance of any vouchers being issued, .

Ski Bindings and Mounting
We offer a free binding mounting service to all new skis when bought with bindings. (This excludes Movement skis as they are mounted at our suppliers and require an extra £15 charge)
If you have chosen to have your bindings mounted to your skis by us you accecpt that the bindings should be checked by a ski technician to ensure that they correctly fit your ski boots before skiing. We try to ensure the best fit but as we do not have your specific ski boot whilst mounting the bindings, a perfect fit cannot be guaranteed.
We will require the ski boot sole length in order to mount the bindings accurately. It is likely that once the bindings are mounted the set up will need to be tweaked to make sure the boots fit correctly and that there’s the correct pressure from the toe and heel, so we will always send the binding instructions and recommend that they are taken to a local ski shop to fine tune the settings.
If no sole length is provided through either not yet having boots or not knowing it, we can't mount the bindings.
We accecpt no responsibility to any injury or damge caused to the skiier, equipment or others due to the set-up and mounting of the bindings, as we have stated they need to be checked by a ski technician before skiing.
