Armada snow ski blanks are just one of the brands we carry for skis without bindings. Ski blanks need to have bindings drilled and mounted for you by a specialist shop. Once mounted, they are fixed in position for your specific ski boots. Only small adjustments are then possible - in case you should get new ski boots, this will not be a problem. The big advantage of blanks over a track system is that you can get your ski boot closer to the ground, lowering your centre of gravity and improving your feel of the skis beneath your feet. We always have a big selection of ski blanks going cheap in our clearance sale. Ski blanks are preferred by purist freestyle, twin tip skiers in powder or snow parks, on or off piste. FREE delivery and FREE ski bags. Conditions apply. Worldwide shipping - no problem!
Crafted by Burtons first designer, Peter Bauer, these skis and snowboards are amazingly high tech. Great research has gone into every thought of every ski and snowboard. Amplid make some of the best gear around, they look great and ride amazingly well. You can never be disappointed with an Amplid.
Female specific skis are generally slightly 'softer' and more 'flexible' than unisex or men's skis because women tend to be lighter. If you like pretty colours and girly graphics, these are the ones to go for, otherwise unisex skis will perform just as well.
Male skis can be used by women too - so have unisex appeal. Most girls will want to choose unisex skis that are about 5 cm shorter than they would for female specific skis because, compared with men of the same height, women tend to be lighter.
Freestyle skis are generally twin tip skis. These are made for all kinds of freestyle activities including half pipe, park skiing and jibbing rails, boxes etc.
All mountain skis are made for exactly that. Use all over the mountain. They are the 1 ski solution and are for use everywhere from groomed slopes and parks to the back country and powder. They are not as good as a dedicated back country or park ski, but they are perfect for recreational users who want to do a bit of everything.
Back country skis are made for riding in deep powder off the groomed pistes. These off piste skis are generally longer and wider to aid float and are made for cruising.
If you are a complete beginner, there is absolutely no point in buying skis that are intended for advanced skiers, it will actually hinder you instead of help you progress. Choose the ability level closest to what you are now and be honest with yourself! This way you can find skis that will catapult you to that next ability level in no time.
Expert - For those who are very advanced skiers, can handle all terrain thrown at them with ease and are looking for a top-performing, high end pair of skis.
Intermediate / Advanced - These skis are for people who are linking turns, happy cruising the piste and experienced skiers who want a top quality pair of skis.
Beginner / Intermediate - These skis are for people who are taking their first lessons, starting to link turns or just want an easy to ride pair of skis that will help them progress to the next level.
