Wakeboard Size  

You should choose the correct size board depending on your weight not height, check out our advice centre for correct size charts, It is not an exact science - it's down to personal preference

up to 130cm (19)

These boards are good for rider weight up to 130lbs 59kgs

131-135 (45)

These boards are good for riders up to 180lbs / 80Kgs

136-140 (90)

These boards are good for riders up to 200lbs / 90kgs

141+ (63)

These boards are good for riders 170lbs / 75kgs and above

Ability  

If you are a beginner the board will be easier and more predictable, for more advanced boards the performance levels will be higher but the board may be more difficult to get to grips with - sharper rails may catch an edge easier but will cut into the wake better and rocker shape to help the board get more pop off the wake

Beginner (54)

These boards are easy to ride and are very predictable - will give you great fun and let you progress easily, if you do not ride very often then these are ideal for you

Intermediate (158)

These boards will give you a great ride but should not be too hard to get on with - if you are starting to do 180's or Jump the wake this is the area for you

Advanced (159)

High Performance board built for maximum performance - if you are good you will get a lot out of these boards - however they can be tricky to ride if you are just progressing, these tend to have harder edges which help the performance but can be trippy.

Gender / Kids  

Wakeboards cross over for men and ladies - it is the graphics that make the difference, some boards even share the same shape. However a few of the very high end boards have a specific softer flex for women

These are boards from previous seasons and also boards that are evergreen - these products run through a couple of seasons without significant change.

Insert detail  

This is the distance between the insert holes - some new style boards use a narrower position with less holes - older bindings may still fit but the full range of options may be limited. traditional boards have a wider distance between the matching set of insert holes Some board have moved to M6 Bolts these are not compatible with Imperial as the threads are finer but do work better

M6 (58)

Metric 6mm threaded bolts are used for the inserts - these offer better hold as they have more turns to locate the bindings - do not use imperial Bolts with these boards - make sure the bolts that are in your Bindings are M6

Imperial (155)

These inserts are the traditional screw thread system, not compatible with the newer M6 Bolts - Use Imperial Bolts with these boards

6" Spacing (204)

These boards have 6" between the insert holes so your bindings should fit, some older bindings have 8" spaces so they fit on a wider set of inserts. You may not be able to get the extreme outer or inner stance position

7" Spacing (5)

These board have 7" between the matching holes so will fit both 6" space bindings and also 8" bindings to give you a range of stance width options

8" Spacing (11)

These boards have 8" between the insert holes so you bindinsg should fit on some newer bindings have 6" spaces so they fit on the in-between inserts but you may not be able to get the extreme outer or inner stance position

Rocker Style  

The Rocker is the shape of the underside of the board from end to end, the amount of bend or curve and the shape of this curve determines how a board works and feels when you ride, You can select your board by the Rocker shape to give you the best ride for your style, ability where you ride, and what you ride behind - Boat Cable or PWC.

Continuous (56)

These boards have a very even or regular curve shape from end to end, these give a very predictable ride and are suited to either recreational riders, and also for boats with smaller wakes. Continuous Rocker shapes are ideal for use at Cable parks where the shape of the board gives the correct riding sensation and more predictable turns

3 Stage (149)

This board shape is more kinked with a bigger flat spot under the feet, these boards are more suited to wake shapes that are more abrupt or steeper, the board will get more vertical lift from the wake and will have a higher and more aggressive pop and not plough into the wake, these board tend to be slightly more tricky to ride as they are not so predictable, Some of these have a more extreme 3 stage or kinked shape so exaggerate the sensation even more.

Hybrid (68)

A mixture between 3 stage and Continuous rocker shapes, the centre line from front to back may be 3 stage with the edge or sides more continuos shape giving the best of both styles, Many boards will have this feature but we try to list them in a suitable group

Flex Boards (17)

These Flex Style boards have a certain amount of flex built in so that the rocker shape changes when the board is loaded up in the turns of by the weight and position of the rider. These boards may be built using snowboard or kite board technology and are great for use at cable parks for pressing on rails or to give a super smooth ride. These boards are also superb for playing behind a boat doing surface tricks and spins rather than looking for massive pop from the wake

Cable Park (108)

These boards have a special base for use on Kickers and Sliders - it is super tough to protect your board. Rocker shapes tend to be more continuous or a variation on a continuous Rocker style, Flex or Hybrid construction boards are very popular and are great for use on Sliders and kickers, Some of these boards will be cross over and can be great for Boat use as well

Wakeboard Boat (207)

Wakeboard Boats have a strong Wake and have a tower or Pole system to give a good high level pull, this is great for gaining more height. These boards tend to have more of a 3Stage rocker shape to give the board more boost off the wake, the more advanced the boat; ie a better steeper wake the more kinked or aggressive the 3 stage should be,

Speed / Ski Boat (157)

These boats have softer and smaller wake shapes - a wide range of boards can be used here - everything from a Continuous to a 3 stage rocker shape will work. This is the widest range or choice and most wakeboards will work in this situation.

PWC / Jet Ski (64)

PWC's have smaller wakes and can be for towing on to sliders or obstacles as well, These boards have more continuous rocker shapes as this gives a more predictable ride for more carving. Hybrid and Flex boards also work well in this situation and will give more variety or choice of surface tricks.
