About the Rab Mythic Alpine Light

With a combination of certified goose down and synthetic insulation, as well as a Pertex® Quantum Pro coating, Rab's Mythic Alpine Light is a multi-purpose mountain garment that guarantees substantial warmth and weather protection whether you're climbing, mountaineering or going about any other alpine activity.

The Mythic Alpine Light uses Pertex Quantum Pro water-resistance and windproofing, engineered to offer maximum protection from the elements whilst remaining lightweight and soft. It also allows moisture to escape supplying breathability and comfort in abundance.

Rab's Mythic Alpine Light has two types of insulation: down and synthetic. The Mythic's Goose down (certified to Responsible Down Standards) provides lightweight and efficient insulation, offering exceptional warmth with minimal bulk, making it ideal for cold-weather apparel. A negative of goose down is the extent to which wetness negatively impacts its performance. This is where Nikwax's Hydrophobic Down treatment comes in, helping maintain insulation even when it's damp while maintaining loft 60 times longer than untreated down and drying 3 times faster - all without the use of PFCs.

The second type of insulation, Rab's Primaloft Gold Active+, mimics natural down to provide maximum comfort and warmth, whilst maintaining an outstanding warmth-to-weight ratio. It is also water-resistant and fast-drying and therefore perfect for the wettest and coldest conditions. It also features strategically placed body mapping technology, which is where different densities of insulation are placed throughout the jacket. There is lightweight insulation found under the arms, through the sides, and down the spine to help efficiently balance body temperature.
