Introducing the Deacon 79, Volkl's high-quality ski for intermediate/advanced riders looking to take on all piste conditions.
With a waist width of 79mm, the Deacon 79 sits within the piste-side of the broad all-mountain category. The ski's design and construction are tailored toward piste performance and provide excellent edge hold and response. So whether you're making tight turns down a chopped-up slope at half term or charging down open freshly groomed slopes first thing in the morning, this ski is an excellent choice to consider.
If you do venture off the side of the piste then the tip & tail rocker will back you up. Featuring a deeper rocker line than traditional tip/tail rocker skis of this width means that you get an increased float and easier turn initiation in soft snow.
The Deacon 79 is ideal for intermediate/advanced skiers and a key component to that suitability is in the sidewall construction. The Central Woodcore Ridge, integrated with superslim wings, effectively reduces weight and swing weight while maintaining stability. VÖLKL's 3D.Ridge technology, featuring a raised central ridge and precise hardness distribution, enhances ski agility without compromising durability or elasticity.
Coming complete with Marker Wide Ride XL Bindings, this Volkl ski is an extremely well-made product that uses high-quality materials to maximise your enjoyment of skiing. It's not too demanding yet it still retains high levels of performance so you can seamlessly switch between relaxed and technique-focused riding, making it the perfect ski for a broad range of abilities.

- Dual Wood Core - Central parallel strips of wood surrounded by PU with fiberglass sheets laminated for added rebound and response.
- Centre Sidewall - A traditional sidewall construction underfoot ensures strong edge hold and creates an even, medium flex. Cap construction in the tip and tail provides easy turn initiation and a forgiving feel.
- Tip & Tail Rocker - Bends up only in the shovel and tail zones, with a camber shape in the middle.
- 3D Ridge - A raised central ridge that sharply levels out towards the edges. This increases power transmission from tip to tail, reduces weight and decreases the rotational forces going through the core.
- 3D Radius Sidecut - Three radii in one ski for maximum turning & speed versatility in all mountain skiing.
- Zebra Base Structure - Very pronounced & deep structure to offer the best possible precision & steering characteristics for an on-piste ski.
