CAMP is an acronym for Concezione Articoli Montagna Premana, that's: Conception of Articles for Mountaineering Made in Premana.
Back in 1889 Nicola Codega started manufacturering mountaineering equipment in Premana, Italy, a small village next to the Swiss Alps.
CAMP has historical roots in the world of mountaineering and climbing; 1889 marks the beginning of CAMP mountaineering equipment being made in Premana Italy which is to date still their headquarters. The CAMP brand embodies an eclectic and unique blend of history, innovation, lightweight, quality and sleek Italian design. In 1997 CAMP bought the company CASSIN and still have some products that carry the CASSIN branding to honour the memory of legendary Riccardo Cassin.
CAMP today is still known for its innovative designs, their Tri Cams are the perfect example of adding something different to the conventional trad rack. Lightweight and affordable quality products is what you can expect from CAMP.
