Cotopaxi was founded by Davis Smith, who grew up in Latin America before living in Ecuador for many years. With Cotopaxi National Park only a stone throw away Davis spent his free time exploring the area and developing a lifelong reverence for the strong, hard-working people of the Andes, while experiencing first hand the plight of those in abject poverty. Cotopaxi products represent the spirit of adventure, optimism, and determination that Davis experienced during his time in Ecuador.
