Komperdell offer high quality outdoor poles for use across a range of activities from trekking and hiking to nordic walking and downhill and backcountry skiing...
Originating in 1922 Komperdell have deep roots in the outdoor industry. From the success of their early hazelnut wood poles for ski and mountain trekking they quickly grew; expanding through the decades to absorb new technologies - stainless-steel and high density aluminium to titanal and ultralight carbon - for use in their innovative pole design. More than 90 years on, Komperdell remain at the forefront of ski, trek and telescopic pole production; and remain as the only pole manufacturer based in Europe.
100% of Komperdell's production is based in Austria giving them oversight into the design process from start to finish. Their 'all-under-one-roof' facility produces up to 23,000 pairs of poles a week and boasts Europe's most modern lacquering facility. This in-house approach has allowed them to create a smooth flowing system of design and production. Through their purpose-built machinery Komperdell refine their pole design until each model excels in performance. From on-site testing rooms that put each design through its paces to a workshop dedicated to the repair of any pole that should be returned damaged or broken. An environmentally conscious production ensures recycled aluminium is used wherever possible, with a process that further keeps packaging materials to a minimum and only uses water soluble coatings for a greener waste disposal.
From the early days of wood to the modern era of carbon, Komperdell seek out the finest materials to bring you a pole that truly delivers on form and function. From the challenges of lightweight trekking to the rigours of downhill skiing, Komperdell's passion for the outdoors and dedication to quality and consistency is infused within their every design.
