NOMAD® is a premium outdoor adventure brand founded on the principle of stylish, long-lasting outdoor equipment for camping & hiking adventures...
At the heart of NOMAD is a 'local brand with a global appeal.'
Many people know the NOMAD brand, but few realise NOMAD was born and raised in a little Dutch town called Zevenaar. In 1965, a Swedish company developed a new production line for synthetic quilts and sleeping bags in the Netherlands. They combined the words polyester and down, calling their company Polydaun. They quickly gained a dedicated following; standing out from the typical drab hues of their competitors with a line of colourful and contrasting products.
With their popularity growing they established the biggest production line for sleeping bags in Europe. Their blend of keen business sense and eye for innovation soon put them at the cutting edge of outdoor equipment.
It was this same passion for crafting original designs that saw the founding of NOMAD just a few years later. From their inception as a sleeping bag company to recent years as a marketing sales company, the essence of NOMAD has remained.
Nomadic: fully independent and always on the move to meet any adventure that awaits.
NOMAD is dedicated to creating premium travel and outdoor equipment (sleeping bags, ground mats, tents, bags and outdoor clothing). They believe strong products should see the adventurer through many trips, year after year. Four decades on, and many of their early products remain loyal travel companions to this day.
In their own words:
'The world is our playing field. We facilitate and stimulate our customers from around the globe to seek and cherish unconventional adventures. Small or big, close by or far away. Unique and memorable experiences are just around the corner. Use your imagination and let our gear be your guide.
See you there!'
