About the 686 Hydrastash SMARTY
The 686 Hydrastash SMARTY Vest offers functionality and waterproofing in an incredibly innovative design. This vest zips directly into select 686 SMARTY pants or can be connected to any other pair of pants via versatile loops to create a one-piece snow hydration system.
The vest comes included with a Hydrastash® Bladder Kit to keep you hydrated on the mountain. A full zip stretch channel provides easy access to the tubing and bladder and you'll only need to partially remove the bladder to fill it. Water is accessed via a self-sealing microbite™ valve at the summit and the highly flexible micro tubing means the hydration system will follow your every movement and won't hinder your performance on the slopes.
Specially placed Hydrastash insulation prevents liquid inside the bladder from freezing. The bladder itself is incredibly durable, holds hot or cold liquids, and fits ergonomically around your waste. Anti-slosh dams mean that when the bladder is getting empty, you won't feel the water as you move down the mountain.
InfiDRY® 10K waterproofing keeps the elements at bay but also allows plenty of breathability by allowing moisture to escape and thus improving your overall body temperature regulation. 686 have added a Durable Water Repellency coating so vapour rolls of the surface and doesn't soak into the fabric. All this results in a vest that will handle whatever the mountain throws your way.
