The Relapse ski/snowboard goggles from Anon are an excellent cylindrical goggle that feature tons of top technology and comes with the revolutionary MFI facemask system.
Included with these goggles is the revolutionary MFI facemask, using Anon's same tried and tested magnetic technology, they have created a facemask which can be snapped to the lower frame of the goggles. Normally when the facemask is too close to the frame of the goggle it causes warm air to condense inside creating fog that can hinder vision. Fog is a thing of the past with the goggles as the facemask attaches to the perfect points for optimum airflow and keeps the lens clear so you can see everything no matter how cold it gets!
The Relapse has a crisp, clean style and plenty of tech to boast about. A huge cylindrical lens allows you to see more of what's going on around you and the low profile Polyurethane frame is durable in all types of conditions conforming to any face shape. The frame is fitted with Triple layer Face Foam which sits comfortably on the face and locks out the elements whilst wicking away moisture.
The frame also features channel venting to promote effective air flow drawing out warm air and drawing in cold air to prevent the risk of fogging. This works in tandem with excellent anti fog technology on the internal lens to provide crystal clear vision no matter what the weather throws at you.
The lens stretches far across the face which combats the common complaint that cylindrical goggles simply don't give a wide enough view. This unobstructed view and high quality polycarbonate lens gives 100% UV protection and a crystal clear view of the mountains. The Relapse is also OTG compatible meaning it can be comfortably worn with prescription glasses underneath.
The lens is coated in Hydrophobic to create a low friction outer layer to reduce water retention, repelling if from the surface. The Oleophobic coating reduces smudging by 80% for easy cleaning and longer shelf life.
Featuring the new Perceive lenses, this superb technology is geared towards creating increased depth perception and enhance contrast for higher definition. Colour absorbers filter light in two spectrums to sharpen visual awareness, improving terrain recognition so you can easily pick out your lines in the snow.
This top of the line cylindrical goggle has excellent styling and enough technical features to combat the elements in comfort when skiing/snowboarding.
Wall-To-Wall Vision - A lower profile frame design with 40% thinner face foam provides an ultra close fit that eliminates peripheral vision impairment
TPU Frame - Lightweight Thermoplastic Polyurethane stays soft and flexible in all conditions to seal out the elements and give a comfortable fit for all face types
Full Perimeter Channel Venting - Ensures maximum airflow through the frame pulling in fresh air whilst venting hot air and moisture. This works with ICT anti-fog to ensure your vision stays clear
Integral Clarity Technology - ICT technology is an anti-fog treatment on the inside of the goggle lens, that wont rub off, that prevents moisture from condensing and provides crystal clear vision regardless of the conditions
Triple Layer Face Foam - 3 layers of face foam of varying densities provide a seal between the goggles and your face to seal out the elements whilst wicking sweat to keep you dry and comfortable
OTG - Over The Glass compatibility meaning that most prescription glasses can be worn comfortably underneath
MFI (Magnetic Facemask Integration) - Magnets on the bridge of the goggle match up with the nose of a specially designed facemask to give a perfect fit
Perceive lenses - Provides high-contrast vision and terrain defining clarity in just about any light condition
Hydrophobic and Oleophobic Lens Coating - Provides unmatched smudge, scratch, and moisture resistance on the outer lens surface for clear optics and easy cleaning
Bonus Facemask - A bonus MFI Face mask is included with these goggles to provide you with ultimate protection form the elements
Used these for a week this year in bright and low light conditions, both the lenses were great, but changing them was a little fiddly at first, but easy after some practice. The mask was fantastic when skiing in snow, fairly easy to clip on while wearing gloves and did a great job. Didn't steam up once with or without the mask.
It was a good choice. The frame fits the face perfectly (it also has magnetic adapters too), and both of the lenses gives a confortable vision for your eyes.
