About the Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL2

Updated for 2020, the Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL2 tent combines lighter, stronger materials with even greater versatility for fast-moving outdoor adventures. The new design retains a trail weight of 1.22kg but sees the use of ultralight nylon double ripstop, mixed denier fabric in both fly and groundsheet for higher tear strength and puncture resistance without added weight.

For added 3-season versatility, new awning-style vestibules with double-zippers provide multiple access options and extended living space. This is a fantastic feature for creating sun-shade or prepping food in wet weather. Awnings can be erected using trekking poles or accessory tent poles (sold separately) and stabilised with the included guylines.

A new TipLok buckle delivers ease of set-up by rolling 3 functions into a single mechanism. TipLok includes a secure pole tip capture, rainfly buckle attachment and tensioner, and stakeout loop - all in one handy design.

The Copper Spur HV UL retains its 4-way high-volume pole architecture but with a new addition in the pre-bend span pole that increases strength, stability, and water-shedding.

The freestanding design pitches inner first with a standalone canopy for use in good weather. By using the additional footprint (sold separately) you can pitch the fly without the inner tent for a minimalist 'Fast Fly' backpacking experience where conditions allow.

Inside, the high volume angle hub ensures ample living space with room enough for two people and kit. An entrance either side gives occupants hassle-free access with dual vestibules for added storage space. Ventilation in the fly manages airflow to reduce condensation in humid climates.

Inner pockets and hang tabs help organise belongings with an oversized ceiling pocket to hold lighting and keep water bottles close to hand while media pockets feature cord-routing for electronics. New for 2020 is the 3-D bin ‘mezzanine’ at the foot providing elevated storage keeping floor space free from clutter.

All seams are taped with waterproof, solvent-free polyurethane tape (no PVC or VOC's) Flysheet and floor are made from silicone treated ultralight double ripstop mixed denier nylon with 1200mm waterproof polyurethane coating to protect against rain.
