About the Blue Ice Firecrest

The Firecrest is a pack designed for the bespoke art of alpine climbing and ski mountaineering.

Constructed with a high tenacity 210d Nylon which features aluminium G-hooks for lightweight A-frame ski carry the firecrest is built for winter environments. The shoulder harness system is more akin to that of a running vest that transfers the weight from the back into the chest for improved dexterity when scrambling up rock faces or descending down black runs. Two pockets on the shoulder straps further add to the pack's functionality one elasticated capable of stowing 500ml soft flasks while the other is zippered for carrying more valuable items such as mobile phones.

A zippered lid pocket features up to 2L of storage capacity perfect for smaller items while an under the lid valuables pocket keeps wallets and keys secure regardless of what environment you may be traversing across. A generously sized main compartment can be accessed from both the top of the pack and from the side access zipper. To reduce weight for higher climbs the pack's hipbelt is removable allowing you to tailor your pack's needs.

To accommodate must have avalanche safety items, the Firecrest features a removable avalanche tools pouch. The pouch can accommodate both a probe and collapsable shovel, and keeps the units protected and organised, ready and prepped for their unexpected use. For more technical climbing the pack features webbing and strap loops that facilitate the carry of up to 2 technical ice climbing tools/axes. The quick ski carry system with stainless steel hook means you can stow skis on the go or opt for the prior mentioned A-frame ski carry.
