The Breach ski/snowboard jacket from Burton is an excellent choice that will deliver protection and comfort time after time.
Constructed using Burton's DRYRIDE™ Durashell 2 layer fabric which consists of a multi-layer design, the Breach Jacket not only has excellent weatherproofing abilities but is also highly breathable keeping you dry and comfortable throughout the winter.
The Breach is lined with recycled content Thermolite insulation that gives warmth without weight, whether you're in un-tracked powder or an icy park. The Breach also incorporates Burton's own Living Lining, which uses intelligent breathable pores that open when warm to release excess heat, and close when cold to seal in heat. This helps to efficiently regulate your body temperature and keep you comfortable whatever the weather.
Reinforced with fully taped seams, a jacket-to-pant interface, a stretch waist gaiter and YKK® zips, the Breach Jacket is equipped to maintain warmth and dryness when the temperature drops, making every effort to keep the snow out. For additional protection, the Breach features a Fulltime Contour™ hood that contours to the shape of your helmet perfectly and wont interfere with your vision as you turn your head.
Featuring multiple hand, chest, goggle and sleeve pockets, along with an internal Therma-Pocket to keep your phone safe and secure, the Burton Breach Jacket offers all-round convenience and comfort, ensuring you look and feel good throughout the winter season.
Putting it simply, this jacket outperforms most jackets I've owned that are considerably more expensive. I've hit the slopes in Norway in December and Meribel in January, and I've needed nothing more than a base layer underneath - the jacket is very warm. Sizing - I'm 6'2, 95kgs, and the XL is plenty long enough on the arms and skirt, but fits slim to the body.
Love the jacket
Both parents and 16 year old son loved the jacket. Nice colour blue, plenty of pockets and looked great with his blue jean snowboarding pants. His younger brother has his eye on it as a hand me down.
