About the Flight Attendant
The 2018 Burton Flight Attendant snowboard is a creation of Nicolas Müller's imagination. If you've ever seen him ride then you'll understand what this board is all about. Whether its putting in a mega carve on the piste or getting upside down when cruising through some trees, this board will take it all.
Made using recycled materials and a whole host of tech to keep it light and fast the Flight Attendant uses Burton's Channel system to keep you locked to the board. The Channel offers the complete freedom for you to set up your angles and stance width and is guaranteed with a massive 3 year warranty across the whole board! Burton test The Channel to the limit and have proven that it can hold twice the amount of force that is set by the governing body. You also use half as many screws when mounting and it can be used with 100% of the bindings from all major brands so if you aren't a lover of Burton bindings then you will still be able to ride this board.
With a crazy Super Fly 2™ Core to create a floaty but snappy board which then has a Carbon I-Beam™ to keep it hyper responsive longitudinally. Squeezebox tech makes it super snappy as the board is thicker at the top and bottom of each Channel to improve pop and keep a soft feel under foot. Pro-Tip™ keeps the swing weight down if you were looking to spin and win and Dualzone™ EGD™ keeps you locked on the edge for take off and landing.
To make sure you keep going and take to the skies, the Flight Attendant comes with a full WFO sintered base which keeps the base pores Wide & F%*cking Open which will keep you fast all season. The Nose is 10mm wider than the tail too which will keep you smiling and on your feet when it gets deep.
This board is for those already pushing the freeride / big mountain boundaries who know how to fly but who also feel pretty good just cruising on the groomers.
- FSC™ Wood Core with Super Fly 2™ Core - Forest Stewardship Council certified wood core meaning that the woods used come from sustainable sources so by buying this board you will be looking after the environment. Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength and reduced weight.
- Mountain Dew® recycled PET topsheet - Recycled Mountain Dew® bottles are used to create the top sheet!
- Squeezebox - A wavy core which is thicker at the beginning and end of the channel which are the areas that take all the pressure when loading up on an ollie. The thickness adds more snap which will lead to a more responsive pop.
- Dualzone™ EGD™ - Wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for consistent edge-hold and added strength.
- Triax Fibreglass with Carbon I-Beam™ - Three directionals of fibreglass to keep things solid with the addition of a Carbon Beam running from tip to tail to keep that longitudinal responsive that you have been asking for.
- Balanced Freeride Geometry with Pro-Tip™ - Setback camber with your setback stance meaning it feels like a twin but rides like a directional. Pro-Tip™ trims the thickness in the tip and tail reducing weight.
- Sintered WFO base - The pores of the wood are larger meaning that it holds onto wax longer.
- Infinite Ride™ - Overbuilding the board and then using a machine to break the board in meaning its ready to ride as soon as you get it and will last season after season.
- The Channel - Rather than using a 4x4 system, Burton have introduced the Channel. A system which allows you to fully adjust your stance width and angles. Your bindings will have to be compatible with the Channel and conversion discs can be bought separately. Burton offer a 3 year warranty on all boards with the Channel.
