Burton Medium Spike Mat Snowboard Stomp Pad, Translucent Black

The metallic spikes provide grip in real iced up conditions when non metallic spiked stomp pads simply fail to serve any purpose at all. What more can you say about a stomp pad. For the materialistic buyer, having a "Burton" stomp pad on your board will inflate your ego exponentially and give you a superiority complex over your friends, family and other boarders. For the practical buyer, buy cheap buy twice. This stomp pad costs a few more £'s than other stomp pads (just saying pad makes it sound like a sanitary towel) but it will be the only stomp pad you'll need to buy. I am a size 8 boot and chose the medium size stomp pad as it will not take up room on your board. Note on fitting: leave a 5-6 centimetre gap from your binding to where you place the stomp pad as your foot will foul the binding and will only make contact with a percentage of the surface area of the stomp pad. Make sure your board is dry and not cold as the adhesive on the contact surface of the stomp pad will not bind with the board surface and give a proper adhesion. What I did was to put the boot on that will stand on the stomp pad, remove the peal off sticker on the stomp pad, place the stomp pad on the board (remembering the positioning of the stomp pad that I mentioned earlier. Your fault if you did not read it. Read it now) and stand on the stomp pad with the foot that has the boot on and ensure that the stomp pad gets a good adhesive stick to the surface of the board. That should do it. Do it properly, don't cut corners through impatience and you'll find like I did that this is a really usefull and affective stomp pad and is worth the money. Oh, and the delivery is excellent as is the service. I buy all my bits and pieces from these guys now. Safe boarding, always wear a helmet and be happy.

I've had a few stomp pads over the years but this is by far the best. Perfect grip in icy conditions and centre groove fits great in middle of boot. Strong, sturdy and perfectly transparent.
