About the Burton SLX
The Burton SLX snowboard boot is a stiffer all-mountain freeride boot with the best technology the snowboard industry has to offer. This boot is for riders who are confident almost anywhere on the mountain and need a boot to keep up with their game. Packed with the best technology the industry has to offer, Burton has made the perfect boot for advanced, aggressive shredders. The SLX features Shrinkage tech which means each boot has a footprint 1 size smaller than normal meaning a size 11 boot has the same footprint as other brands size 10 boots. This opens you up to more board choices and helps reduce heel and toe drag when carving. 1:1 lasting also means that every shell is the correct size rather than some brands who put thicker liners in their whole size shells to make half sizes!
The SLX also uses Burton's Speed Zone Lacing which is a quick lace system with an upper and lower fastening zone for a quick but custom fit. This system has been improved with a re-profiling of the lace guides and jam cleats and the addition of New England Rope laces which are virtually indestructible and unique to Burton.
The Life+ liner is one of the most technical and comfortable snowboard boot liners money can buy. Ultralon performance foam ensures a perfect and snug fit with no heel lift with a Level 3 molded EVA footbed to reduce harsh impacts and improve comfort. Burton has teamed up with Vibram to create one of the most lightweight, durable, and grippy outsoles any boot can offer with B3 Gel in the heel and toe to help take big impacts. This boot also includes Burton's new sleeping bag reflective foil to reflect heat back towards your foot so you will never get cold feet.
