About the Burton Talent Scout
The Burton Talent Scout is a freestyle-orientated camber profile snowboard designed to amplify pop whilst being forgiving.
The Talent Scout has a medium flex rating, a true twin shape, and an awesome PurePop traditional camber profile. With its Super Fly 2™ Core and Dualzone EGD™, the board is ready for anything and will zip past most with its Sintered base.
The PurePop profile is a take on the traditional camber. The board raises off the ground in the center to provide lots of pop and response but also features flat sections and an early rise outside of the bindings, to give it a catch-free feel that will also work well in powder. Due to this, you get all the benefits of traditional camber without the hang-ups of catchy edges.
Frostbite Edges will help keep you locked in when turning and Burton Squeezebox has been added to energise any pressure you put through for pop. In addition, the sintered base is durable and highly porous, providing added durability and superior wax absorption for greater overall glide and Burton's Pro-Tip™ shaves off excess weight to help when spinning.
Overall this board is great for anybody. With a more forgiving camber contour, it is great for those taking their first steps onto a positive camber snowboard and tonnes of pop make it ideal for freestyle riders who like to hit kickers and transitions and want the stability and response that a camber board provides. A true all-rounder!
- Super Fly 2™ Core Core with Dualzone EGD™ - Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength and reduced weight. Dualzone™ EGD™ brings two separate zones of wood grain which is perpendicular to the core adjacent to the channel which gives you awesome edge control
- Off Axis Frostbite Edges - Frostbite edges create grip as the edge sticks out a little bit more under the bindings to grip in icier conditions. This acts to provide supreme edge hold when needed but is forgiving when not needed
- Off Axis Squeezebox - Angled to optimize the use of freestyle riders bindings, a wavy core is included which is thicker and carbon infused at the beginning and end of the channel which are the areas that take all the pressure when loading up on an ollie. The thickness adds more snap which will lead to a more responsive pop
- Triax Fibreglass - Fibreglass fibres at 3 different degrees to create a versatile and predictable flex and response
- The Channel - Rather than using a 4x4 system, Burton have introduced the Channel. A system which allows you to fully adjust your stance width and angles. Your bindings will have to be compatible with the Channel and conversion discs can be bought separately. Reducing the interference caused by mounting bindings, your snowboard can flex more naturally
- Twin Flex - Perfectly symmetrical from tip to tail for a balanced ride that's equally versatile regular or switch
- Twin Shape - Perfectly symmetrical for a balanced ride so you can spin and stomp with outstanding stability whether you're riding regular or switch
- Camber Bend - Advocates powerful turns and poppy precision, offering snappy suspension with weight distributed evenly across the entire board for smooth, continuous edge control from tip to tail
- Sintered Base - Durable and highly porous, providing added durability and superior wax absorption for greater overall glide
- Infinite Ride™ - Overbuilding the board and then using a machine to break the board in meaning its ready to ride as soon as you get it and will last season after season.
- Pro-Tip™ - Pro-Tip™ trims the thickness in the tip and tail reducing weight to make it easier to spin.
