About the Coxa Carry R5 Backpack

The R5 is a generously sized hydration pack from Coxa Carry of Sweden. Capable of distributing 100% of the pack's weight from the shoulders directly to the hips, the R5 allows for daily essentials and the 2L hydration bladder to be carried in complete comfort.

A cross strap design which has been patented optimises the stability of the pack's load, facilitating even distribution of weight onto the hips. Consequently, even when fully weighted with water and essentials the pack feels weightless.

The buckle system of the R5 was designed in collaboration with Duraflex. A safety concern with many packs is the ability to remove them in the event of being snagged. The R5 buckle overcomes this with a single finger release system, that frees you from the pack in the event of an emergency.

3D mesh provides ventilation for optimised breathability of the R5, even when undergoing strenuous physical activity. Moreover, the mesh doubles as a lightweight padding to the rear of the pack for increased comfort.

Included with the pack is a 2L hydration reservoir. The reservoir nestles snugly within the main body of the R5. A generously sized main compartment can be used to store an array of daily essentials from extra layers to good and snacks. While a top lid zippered external pocket secures valuables and keeps them close at hand.

For additional functionality, the R5 features an array of elasticated stash pockets. Two of the larger pockets are found on the sides of the R5, which can be used to store rain shells or larger bottles. The additional two stash pockets are found on the hip-belt that can be used to secure gels or additional hydration soft flasks.

For visibility in low light situations, the R5 is fitted with 3M reflective material. The material alone provides visibility for up to 400m away, however, the bag is additionally fitted with a LED light for improved safety. With two settings, constant or flashing, the light increases the distinctness of the user in darker situations.
