The Apex ice axe with adze combines DMM's ergonomic design with high-quality engineering for an exceptionally strong, dependable climbing aid crafted to tackle a wide variety of terrain.

The curved shaft has been engineered to give clearance and stability on the steeper ground while remaining effective when plunging, daggering, and negotiating easier angled snow slopes.

The bombproof design delivers a fully T-rated construction with the hot forged handle and ice pick double riveted to the aluminum shaft. Upper and lower rests allow you to make use of the full range of modern mixed climbing techniques. A straight handle features a spike on the base for plunging the Apex into snow and ice for added balance and stability when moving on less steep terrain.

DMM's practical design means the heads can be switched/replaced to give an already versatile tool an even greater range of applications. Optional pick weights provide that extra heft to penetrate hard ice and customize balance.
