The DMM Bulldog ice anchor gives you a high-quality winter climbing and mountaineering essential. It offers anchoring protection with an ice pick style profile featuring reverse facing teeth that help bite when weighted. This allows the Bulldog to be driven into frozen turf, icy cracks, and marginal ice smears. It can also be placed into hooks in the ice created by your axe, and can even be hammered into cracks and seams like a peg.
Lightening holes reduce weight and make extraction easier while a long handle creates improved leverage for efficient extraction from stubborn placements. It also houses an extendable sling that helps reduce rope drag on wandering winter pitches.
The Bulldog achieves 15kN (roughly 240 stone) in lab testing, and when placed properly gives security in an insecure environment.
