The Demon Skinn women's snowboard/ski impact shorts are fantastic for anybody into extreme winter or summer sports. These offer great performance that wick's away moisture, keeps you cool and helps soften impacts when snowboarding or skiing on the slopes.
These shorts are a great base layer and with it's extremely low level bulk, they will fit under your snowboard/ski pants with ease. The lycra fabric wick's away body moisture, keeping you cool and dry. In cooler conditions, the hollow fibres trap air, forming a nice thermal layer next to your skin keeping you warm and comfortable.
These shorts come with Thermo-formed hip pads and a removable tailbone foam pad which adapt to your body shape. These pads offer a low level of protection but are still able to help absorb some of the impact. These shorts are designed to be extremely flexible and form fitting reducing as much bulk as possible.
The Demon Skinn women's snowboard/ski impact shorts are for riders looking for a high performing base layer that would also like some form of protection. It may only offer a low level of impact protection but the ability to keep you dry, wicking away perspiration, while keeping you warm and comfortable makes up for the lack of heavy protection.

I bought these for roller derby as I had an injured coccyx and didn't want to do it again. They fit really well, if you go by the size guide. Padding is good as I have fallen since, and not really felt it. However they do make me quite sweaty. I would recommend these as the price is pretty good for what they are.
A Must Have!
I bought these as protection for my full day beginner snowboarding lesson. I certainly spent a lot of my time crash landing on my butt. I feel if I hadn't been wearing them I would have done serious damage. I did have pain when I sat down for a few days after the lesson but u did fall hard numerous times. I dread to think what the pain/ lasting damage would have been if I wasn't wearing my pads. Slim fit so can go under trousers without anyone noticing you have them on & ladies no your bum doesn't look big in them :)
Roller Derby protection
I started playing roller derby in January, and a few weeks in took a nasty fall where not only did I get pulled down straight onto my ass, but unfortunately someone's skate decided to get in between my ass and the floor. OUCH. That was my coccyx fractured. After a few weeks of taking it easy and knowing the best thing to do would be to get some boots protection, i also got the fear. Whenever we were learning a new skill that could potentially land me on my bottom, I would nope out of it. So I ramped up the search for some shorts. I started off looking at derby specific shorts but they were few and far between. I then thought about what other sports involved falling on your butt and decided to look at crash pants for Snowboarding. After reading a few reviews and price checking these certainly turned out ti be the best. When they arrived I had practice that night so they went straight on. I love the 2 removeable pads for your coccyx. At the moment they're both in but I can remove them as I like. They have definitely taken a few falls and even more slides, and are holding up amazingly (I even wear them over the top of my leggings, so they are totally exposed to whatever I'm falling on). Because I have these on I feel so much safer, in fact they gave me the confidence to play on the half pipes at our local skate park, something which without these wouldn't have felt safe doing. They are so so comfortable, and you can wear them under your leggings as they have a nice slim profile without compromising the padding. I have a lot of love for these shorts! Satan's Sister x
good product, just as described
This is a great product and you can trust the pictures and description. I needed this as a beginner snow boarder.... In hindsight, I should have got a even more padded pair since I fell over so much. But the description is true, it is not the most padded one, so you just need to work out what you really need.
Not really very protective
I bought these shorts as I was going snowboarding for the first time (although I had done a 3hr lesson before) so I knew I needed some padding as I would be falling over a lot whilst learning. They were fine until one of the days I fell right on my lower back/bottom and they did nothing at all for me, I was in so much pain that I had to not snowboard on the last day of my holiday. Disappointment!
Good impact shorts
Very lightweight and comfortable but if you're looking for something with more protection then it's not the best choice!
