Well worth it
Worth buying for anyone getting started. Way better than a broken wrist. You'll only need them until you've had enough practice falling over to do it safely. It's automatic to put your hands out to stop yourself but you need to learn to roll. That takes time. The most common injury to beginners is broken wrists. Note: If your gloves are a snug fit then you will need a larger size to get them over these guards.

Do what they say but some drawbacks! Not sure if they could have been avoided though.
These definitely protect your wrists which is good for me as I have hypermobility syndrome (I was born with extra stretchy ligaments). There are arguments that they can just make u break ur arm or elbow instead but these are the most recommended by surgeons who state "it is easier to fix an elbow or arm than a wrist" it also has less long term problems if ur wrist stays in tact. Only annoying things are you can lose grip of things like the poma lift as they have a hard plate at the palm of your hand, they could maybe design the palm with added grip as I have to wear these over my gloves.....

One of the best
These are definitely among the best wrist guards on the market. All wrist guards with protection on the inside are going to restrict agility and hand movement. If they did not do this they would not be doing their job properly. Most people find it a small price to pay. When riding the pommel, try to relax and allow the pull to go through the pommel. You do not need to grip hard with your hand which only needs to be used for guidance. MOst people wearing wrist guards buy gloves one size bigger than they would do otherwise and wear them on the inside. Hope this info helps.

Wrist guard
A great piece of kit especially when starting out as a snowboarder. I fell over a lot and these guards really made a difference.

Maximum Protection
Having sustained quite bad distal radius fractures to both wrists, I am always on the hunt for wrist guards that I feel will provide me with the maximum amount of protection. Finally, I appear to have the wrist protectors that I need. They provide enough flexion that I do not feel completely constrained, but on moment of impact, are big enough to transfer the load up my forearm and away from the weakened wrist joints I have. All in all, I am very happy with the wrists guards and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to avoid injury or for piece of mind after an injury.

Wrist guards
Excellent protection, I've tried several pairs Over the years but these definitely offer the best protection & inspired confidence. Only problem they are big and u will need to get XL gloves to fit over them. If u have XL hands it could be a problem. But for me if I lose them I'd buy another pair of these as I want the best protection.

Great wrist guards
After doing some research online it became apparent that these were the best wrist guards available having being designed by a surgeon and having the flexmeter technology. I have rather small weak wrists so wanted to protect them and after landing on them a few times whilst wearing these I have had no injuries. You will definitely need to buy large gloves to go over them. I usually wear a small womens glove but had to go for a medium mens to get them over these and it can be difficult to get the gloves on and off. They were a little tight around my thumb to begin with, making my palms ache a little, especially after holding onto drag lifts, but after wearing them a few times they have loosened a little and are a lot more comfortable.
