About the Demon Shield MTB
The Demon Shield Impact Shorts are the cycle-friendly version of the Demon Shield Impact Short range. With ample coccyx/tailbone protection and comfort, these shorts are lightweight, flexible and saddle-friendly attributes.
The Shield Shorts are constructed from a lightweight, breathable, athletic blend of lycra and mesh and come equipped with TPR padding to protect your coccyx and thighs from heavy impacts on the mountain. TPR is primarily constructed with high-density flexible rubber which will absorb blows. The shorts also have 3mm Air Shield foam padding on the hips and buttocks to help ensure you have protection as well as comfort.
The padding also contains ventilation ports that, together with a moisture-wicking spandex fabric, will keep you breathing during rigorous activity. There is also a hook and loop belt to help secure the shorts in place.
The upper tailbone pad is positioned differently to the ski/snowboard version so as not to interfere with your position on the saddle, but is equally as protective. There is an inside shammy for extra comfort and safety.
The Demon Shield Impact Shorts are incredibly lightweight and flexible for a low profile fit under your pants, perfect for mountain bikers that really want to feel comfortable and agile.
