The Demon snowboard/ski Hip Belt XD3O is an alternative to wearing impact shorts but keeping the benefits impact shorts offers.
D3O is a soft flexible material that will shape to your body comfortably. The big change happens when it takes an impact, all the polymers lock together protecting you against the impact. This means that the harder the impact, the greater the resistance to the force.
The hip belt has a removable D3O tail bone pad, and 2 thigh foam pads with velcro backing. This allows you to fully customise where to position the protection pads on the belt strap.
The Demon snowboard/ski Hip Belt X D30 is suitable for both winter and summer sports. This is the perfect alternative to impact shorts protection, all snowboarders and skiers that would prefer not to wear impact shorts will definitely prefer the hip belt as a suitable replacement.

I returned this product after testing in the living room - it did not make it to the mountains. As a 6ft male snowboarder, sitting down results in the velcro belt moving up my hips leaving the coccyx exposed. The belt loops were to small to attach too a standard width belt needing a third party linkage. Ordered the L/XL and on my 36" (90cm) hips the velcro belt was just big enough. The D30 material did look promising but I couldn't get it to stay covering the vulnerable area through a variety of movements. I'll be looking for a pair of shorts instead of this belt.
