About the Deuter Aircontact Lite 45 + 10 SL

Deuter’s Aircontact Lite 45 + 10 SL, is aimed towards those who require a low-weight pack with all the functionality of a traditional bag.

Incorporated into the design is Deuter’s Aircontact system, where the anatomical profiled X frame offers a balance of torsional rigidity and flexibility to follow your body movements and transfer weight through its perfect back fit. Breathable padding with venting foam chambers circulates air through the Aircontact cushions keeping your back cool, this will reduce perspiration for long treks. This back system also features Deuter's VariQuick adjustment system, allowing you to change the back length with ease for a comfortable fit.

Deuter's Slim line or Short Length packs are designed in collaboration with the female ambassadors to offer an improved tailored fit for the athletic female figure. The SL range also suits slender men and youth who have shorter torsos and slender frames.

The SL line shoulder straps provide an enhanced fit around the upper body, where shorter and narrower shoulder straps accommodate the shorter physique. Pressure points are reduced to combat any chafing whilst a contoured “S” shape conforms around sensitive areas and hugs the pack to the user. The tapered shape of the hip belt combined with anchor points that slant upwards further add to the tailoring of the SL line towards the female anatomy whilst ergonomic fins hug into the hip belts reducing the excess space between the user and the backpack.

On top of that, the load adjustment shoulder strap tech and Pull Forward belt construction allow the user to cinch the load forward for weight to be distributed parallel to the spinal cord for vertical load-bearing comfort. This ensures the pack has an anatomically stable fit, paramount for all-day comfort.

Like conventional mid-sized backpacks, the Lite 45 is a top-loading rucksack design, with a separate lower compartment for storage of a sleeping bag or bulkier items. Elasticated pockets on the side of the pack facilitate the carry of items for ease of access such as water bottles, maps or tent poles. Similarly, zippered hip belt pockets can be used to safely store items at close access.

The generously sized main compartment of the Lite 45 features a stretch inner wet storage compartment, ideal for damp clothing and the pack features handy trekking poles and ice axe holders to keep them secure when not in use. Additionally, the volume can be increased by a further 10 litres through the use of the extendable lid, enabling you to carry more.
