About the Edelrid Orion

The Edelrid Orion harness is an all-around harness that has won an ISPO award for its innovative 3D-vent technology. Bringing together comfort, breathability and load distribution, the 3D-vent is composed of a sturdy 3-layer foam padding ideal for pressure absorption. A structural and visually appealing spread of tech webbing along the waist band and leg loops adds reinforcements to the harness whilst the space in between each webbing gap has venting holes pierced through the foam padding to add airflow.

This design makes the Edelrid Orion harness very comfortable both from a load bearing point of view but also as a well ventilated piece which means you will not over heat with it on.

Suitable for 4-season climbing epics, the Orion is at home sport climbing in Spain as well as alpine climbing in the Alps come winter. Four gearloops placed asymmetrically and ergonomically make reaching for gear easy whilst options for icescrew clips, haul loops and chalk bag carry tick all the extra boxes. Adjustable waist loops and leg loops make fit customisation a speedy process and subtle additions allow extra webbing to be stowed away so that they are not flapping around in your way. The Orion also features a plastic retainer which acts as an abrasion protector at the tie-in point to extend the life of the harness.

This is a great looking harness with signature Edelrid colours. It comes in a reusable harness bag for storage which we personally think doubles up as a good climbing shoe bag!
