The Evolv X1's are an aggressively shaped down turned climbing shoe designed to hold their own on steeper terrain and tiny footholds. The X1's are Evolv's softest shoe so despite its aggressive shape, it will mould to your foot seamlessly. The down turned shape of the shoe transfers power to the toes offering plenty of positive precision and sensitivity.
The shoe is built off a medium volume last and features a single velcro strap with a range of cinching angles. The tongue wraps securely around the foot and a toe patch covering a large area of the front is optimised for toe hooking. The heel is wrapped with a high tension heel rand which should avoid any saggy heel for confident heel hooks. The combination of the single strap and heel rand make the X1 a super secure fitting almost slipper shoe that can take on the most demanding climbs.
