The Forcefield Slam Shorts are a designed specifically for snowboarders and skaters to protect the lower back, coccyx, buttocks and hips. They feature a large pad of M15 CE approved armour to cover the coccyx and buttocks whilst also featuring pads on the hip. Unlike other impact shorts, the slam doesn't have thigh protection because, without it, comfort and flexibility is much greater whilst it still covers your main impact area.
The Slam Shorts have been ergonomically designed to move with, and best fit your body, so the armour will stay where it needs to be and give maximum protection. These shorts also feature Forcefield's thermal BeCool technology which is breathable yet still has great thermal qualities, and features a 3 layer construction for enhanced impact protection!
Forcefield are the official body armour suppliers to both the Salomon UK freestyle ski team and the Great British Ski and Snowboard Teams - there must be something in it!

Excellent shorts. Probably the best ones on the market
These are really excellent shorts and saved my bum a number of times since I got them earlier this year. I've been practicing snowboarding in a snowcentre and after a few very painful falls on ice on my coccyx, I decided to get some protection. Initially, I wasn't ready to spend more than £30-40, so I opted for a cheaper brand and model, which had separate pieces of foam on the backside, that were decent but didn't protect my already bruised bones. After a couple of additional slams on ice, I decided to put them up on eBay and look for something better. Now, as I mainly stick to free-riding and snowboarding/skiing, I went for this model, which offers a superb protection for your bum and hips. I've fallen on these a number of times and they work perfectly. If you're price-conscious, as I was, don't be, these will last you for years and the amount of pain they will protect you from, is totally worth the price of two day passes in a snowcentre or a nice meal out. Best impact shorts in class. Just get them!
Sick impact shorts
Best impact shorts I have used and so comfy, drawstring helps a lot as others that don't usually slip down. I've slammed in these shorts harder than others and come out with no bruises, overall sick shorts would Deffo recommend
