The Gregory Katmai is a spacious trekking pack designed for hauling heavy loads comfortably during multiple days on the trail.

The innovative FreeFloat A3 carrying system consists of a breathable back panel, hip belt, and a rotating harness that conforms to the body's natural movements. LifeSpan EVA foam on the hip belt and shoulder harness help support heavier loads, whilst polygiene® Stays Fresh Technology on the back panel, shoulder harness, and hip belt help tackle odour-causing bacteria. Hip belts are contoured to hug your body and transfer the weight effectively into your legs.

An alloy steel frame allows your upper body and hips to flex naturally whilst minimising side-to-side sway as you hike, saving energy and keeping you more comfortable over longer distances. The frame also features anti-barreling support to prevent the pack from losing its shape and keeps the load close to your centre of gravity.

Storage features include shock locks that can be used to store trekking poles or ice axes for when the terrain gets technical. A floating lid compartment complete with internal organisation pockets provides increased on-trail organisation. The pack additionally features an easy-access side-mounted bottle holster for on-the-go hydration, a sunglasses-specific holder, a lower sleeping bag compartment, and an included rain cover that stows in a dedicated pocket.

The pack is a traditional top loader but also has side zip access. This facilitates rapid access to the main body and the contents in addition to enhancing organisation when packing. Additional backpack features include compatibility with hydration reservoirs thanks to a SpeedClip attachment system.
