Grivel's Tech Machine Ice Axe is designed with the technical alpinist in mind. The performance construction features a neutral balance, with Grivel's hot-forged steel blade equipped with a tapered 3mm tip for greater penetration on tough ice. The Tech Machine's modular design allows you to replace worn blades and/or change from shovel/adze to hammer or the Mix blade for mixed climbs.
This leashless axe features a curved shaft for greater clearance in tight spots and permits easier anchoring in varied terrain. The hot-forged base point penetrates tough snow conditions for anchor points and offers support when topping out.
The new handle design features an insulated grip with hand-guard for added wall protection and comfort over long ascents. Though this model is supplied without a leash, the Grivel Spring leash can be added for extra security.
This particular model comes with Grivel's Simple Ice Vario pick, hot forged for sublime strength for T-rated performance - ideal for both technical alpinism and ice climbing.
From the winter Highlands to spring in the San Juans, the Grivel Tech Machine Ice Axe gives you technical climbing performance with the benefit of a modular design.

At first i was not sure what to expect for 50 pounds, but this suit gave great flexibility, which i did not had with my previous 3mm suit (also Neil Pryde) ...I was also lucky to choose the right size (MT in my case) which fits me just great. I recomend this suit for water temperature from 19 - 25C and for those who are lacking manouvarability
