About the Head Nexo Lyt 120 G

The new 2019 Head Nexo Lyt range presents a set of performance ski boots that have been built to provide advanced and expert skiers with a lightweight all mountain boot solution. The first of many impressive features on these boots is the PU/Graphene hybrid plastic that is used for the shell. By mixing in the ultra-strong and light graphene with traditional plastic, the shell has been made thinner and lighter. As such these boots come up lighter than many boots in the same category, as less material is needed to give the supportive feel needed for high speed skiing.

Inside the shell of the Nexo Lyt 120 boot sits Head’s new flagship Liquid Fit customisable liner. This is a liner that features the standard heat mouldable perfect fit system, alongside a new innovative liquid injection system. During the fitting process, liquid gel can be injected into pockets around the heel to customise the hold to the wearer’s foot. This gel fills any gaps and gives a firm heel hold to eliminate any lift, both performance and comfort are maximised.

To reduce the hassle of walking in ski boots, the Nexo Lyt range features GripWalk technology, this is a slightly curved rubber sole which gives great grip and a more natural walking feel compared to standard alpine boots.

The Nexo Lyt 120 model has a reference flex of 120 so it is well suited to both piste performance and all mountain skiing. The lightweight nature of these boots give the flex a slightly softer feel than a corresponding race boot, however 120 will still require the wearer to put reasonable force in to get maximum output. Therefore, we would recommend these boots for advanced or expert skiers, or heavier intermediates who want a boot that will stay strong through the turn. The last width of 100 puts this model in the medium category; as a result this boot will give a comfortable foot hold without being too tight on the majority of feet.
