About the Jones Ultra Mountain Twin
The Ultra Mountain Twin features Jones' Ultra Construction, giving this snowboard a huge performance upgrade over the standard Mountain Twin. This versatile freestyle snowboard benefits from the full upgrade package and can ride everything you throw at it.
Jones' Ultra construction not only makes the board significantly lighter but ensures the board has been comprehensively tested to get the most performance out of every last ounce of material that goes into the design of the snowboard. Innovative construction techniques and super-light components are also used to deliver the best ride the mountain twin can offer!
The lightning-fast sintered 9900 base is one of the fastest bases we've ridden. This combined with magnetraction for grip in all conditions and a triple density full wood core makes this board super durable as well as powerful and responsive over uneven terrain.
This board holds a solid edge when carving on the piste or turning in powder thanks to mellow magnetraction and the progressive sidecut, which also makes turn initiation much easier at both low and high speeds. Featuring the Directional Camrock camber profile, the rocker in the tip and tail ensures the board floats well in deep snow whilst the camber in the centre offers response, pop and stability.
The Ultra Mountain Twin also has a Super Sap Bio-Resin. The raw materials used to make Super Sap Bio-Resin are co-products or waste products of other plant-based industrial processes to keep waste to an absolute minimum. On top of this, this re-vamped model has Power Sustainable Basalt Stringers to keep performance high whilst making the board as eco-friendly as possible.
The Ultra Mountain Twin is not just a one-trick pony either, performing all over the mountain from piste to jumps and powder, all with effortless style and ease. This fun snowboard is aimed at intermediate to advanced riders, but progressing beginners will get on really well with it too!

- Power Core - Triple density full wood core featuring hardwood Bamboo stringers for increased pop and durability plus Paulownia for reducing weight
- Triax Fibreglass - Multi layered, stitched fibreglass laminate that offers a precise and responsive ride on any terrain
- Power Sustainable Basalt Stringers - Sustainable stringer made with 100% natural fibers. Basalt stringers improve torsional response and transfer power from under your feet to the tips of the board to help eliminate nose and tail chatter
- Sintered 9900 Base - One of the fastest bases in production, this base is infused with carbon to ensure the board is lightening fast
- Progressive Sidecut - Radius incrementally increases by the contact points for smooth turn initiation
- Ash Topsheet - Thin wood veneer layer that gives you an even flex and helps suck up chatter
- Super Sap Bio Resin - All Jones boards are now built with bio-based, renewable epoxy instead of petroleum-based epoxy. Producing Super Sap requires 33% less greenhouse gas emissions than conventional epoxy
- Factory Tuned - All Jones boards are factory de-tuned at the tip and tail and waxed with Oneballjay Bio wax so you can start riding your new board straight away from the moment it arrives
- Recycled ABS Sidewalls - One of the least environmentally friendly processes in snowboard construction, Jones endeavours to improve the sustainability of their snowboards without any loss in quality or strength, just less damage to our planet
- Oversized Recycled Steel Edges - All Jones boards feature these improved edges for added durability and overall impact resistance
- Blunt Nose - Reduces swing weight to improve turning and rotations whilst reducing drag in deep snow
- Forever Flex - Stabilises the flex and rocker of the board for its entire lifespan
- Freeride/Freestyle Pack - Allows option to center or set back stance on sidecut as conditions demand
- Flip Flop Base - Producing two or more base color options minimizes p-tex waste. Order may be filled with either colour. Color does not vary by size
- Twin Flex Pattern - Balanced flex pattern with equal stiffness and torsional response in the nose and tail
- Traction Tech 3.0 - Features three bumps per edge (front binding, board center, back binding). The middle bump is slightly bigger than the outside bumps for better grip
