About the Jones Ultra Solution
The Jones Ultra Solution is every freeriders 'solution' to backcountry domination – this split snowboard has been designed with new carbon tech and extra taper to compliment the new 3D contour base. If you are looking for a fast, responsive splitboard, the Ultra Solution will have you bombing down the backcountry in style!
The stand out feature of the Ultra Solution splitboard is the new Fusion Carbon tech. This new Carbon construction is an evolution of their previous Fusion tech, with even more weight reduction while enhancing overall durability, this board is ULTRA light and impressively powerful. Crafted by fusing multiple layers of aerospace grade carbon fibres and premium wood, using as little epoxy as possible, this creates the most damp, durable and responsive splitboard Jones has ever made!
Jones have done it again and revolutionised splitboard design, All Jones's splitboards now feature 3D Contour bases offering cutting edge performance in variable backcountry snow conditions. The Spoon shaped 3D Contour Base 3.0 has been designed to smooth out your edge-to-edge transfers, making your turn initially feel more like that of a smooth surfboard. This tech is specifically designed for freeriding in mind, improving your board in three main areas: Glide, Flow and Float helping you ride even faster in deep pow!
The Ultra Solution also features Traction Tech 2.0 with In & Out Traction edges in splitboard mode. This handy piece of technology improves edge to edge hold, this is a must have for boards featuring a rocker profile to help improve glide in mixed conditions allowing you to hold an edge even on the iciest of faces and while in splitboard mode the three inner bumps of the binding sections will also keep you locked in on ice whether traversing up or down the mountain.
Constructed with a new FSC Fusion Core predominantly using lightweight paulownia with pockets of poplar wood resulting in a super light and durable core with tons of response. Topped of with an environmentally friendly textured eco-plastic top sheet made from Castor beans for a scratch and water resistant surface so snow can glide off easily.
To ensure the board is held securely together, the Ultra Solution features a Bolt-less Bridge. This removes split clip attachments from the base of the board for a more streamline fit, this provides better torsional stiffness and a much stronger connection compared to other splitboards on the market.
The Ultra Solution splitboard features Karakoram Ultra Clips 3C with a three point tension system. These clips are ultra-light and have redefined split clip technology. They're fully adjustable so you can maintain even compression, even when your splitboard ages.
The Ultra Solution has been equipped with camber underfoot, a small rocker zone in the tail and a larger rocker zone in the nose. This means the board will be predictable in difficult terrain and have unbelievable performance when cruising on piste thanks to the large camber area, but will promote a ton of float in the nose to keep you from sinking in the deepest of powder.
To finish off this super premium snowboard, an exclusive Sintered Ultra base sets new standards in performance. This base has even more wax absorption, better glide in all types of conditions and is further enhanced with Wend Natural Wax making this one of the fastest on the market!

- 3D Base Contour 3.0 - Freeride focused 3D Contour Base featuring a 7mm of spoon bevel in the nose and 0 to 7mm of spoon bevel in the tail. Spoon bevel starts at the rocker point
- Progressive sidecut - At the far ends of the sidecut, the radius is incrementally increased as the edge reaches the contact point. Gradually increasing the sidecut radius towards the contact point delivers smoother turn initiation and exit as the edge tracks in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition
- Traction Tech 2.0 - Improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board. features three bumps per edge (front binding, board center, back binding)
- In & Out Traction Tech - Inner edge Traction Tech improves splitboard edge grip on ascent. Three side cut “bumps” on each side of your binding keep you locked in on icy skin tracks no matter which way you are traversing
- Fusion Carbon - A new specially designed construction offering the ultimate in high speed performance. Far superior than conventional carbon fibre constructions offering even more weight reduction and strength by fusing together multiple layers of aerospace grade carbon fiber and a wood core using as little epoxy as possible. After curing, these internal board layers are then pressed in between a base and topsheet, once again using as little epoxy as possible. By stabilizing the internal layers prior to the final moulding stage and reducing heavy epoxy volume, Fusion Carbon construction produces the most damp, durable and responsive snowboards ever tested
