The iconic Keen hiking boot, the Targhee III features updated styling and materials to cater for the modern hiker. A wide toe-box construction allows the Targhee III to accommodate a range of foot shapes thus making it an ideal boot for first time hikers.
The upper of the Targhee III is made from a conglomerate of leather and performance mesh, the combination of these materials ensure a supple, lightweight design. The fabric is lined with Keen Dry, a proprietary waterproof but breathable membrane to ensure your feet stay dry regardless of the conditions. Moreover, the shoe rolls up to encompass the toe-box, to offer added protection.
The Keen All-Terrain rubber outsole unit is mounted through direct injection moulding forming a low density EVA midsole that provides a high level of underfoot cushioning. The Keen All-Terrain utilises 4mm multi-directional aggressive lugs to provide traction on a variety of terrains.
Dual-density PU foam is fitted to the footbed for additional arch support for first time hikers. This combined with both the molded collar and cushion panel under the achilles results makes the Terradora Pulse comfortable out of the box. To ensure support for a lightweight boot Keen fitted a ESS shank, that provides structural rigidity.
A TPU heel-capture system offers additional stability and reduces the effects of heel lift, one of the primary causes of blisters on the heel.
The Targhee III is suited for day-hikers due to it’s highly durable construction and metatomical footbed design that provides arch support throughout the course of the day. Keen Dry lined so your feet will remain dry whilst out on the trail.
