About the LINE Vision 98
Similar to its bigger brother the Vision 108, the 98 is a lightweight ski using Lines' new THC construction. The versatile 98mm waist ensures maximum fun can be had all over the mountain.
With a waist width under 100mm, this ski has a profile that is snappy and poppy between turns on hardpack but also surfy on softer snow. The Partly Cloudy core produces a natural and directional flex that is easy to engage and powerful in the turn. Line's Partly Cloudy Core is a blend of lightweight Paulownia and Maples for the ultimate mixture of power and liveliness. It's easy to get onto its edge but also grippy throughout, so it's perfect for all-mountain cruising and charging.
The Vision day series has Line's new Triple Hybrid Construction (THC). This combines three materials: Aramid, Carbon Fibre, and Fiberglass, which all vibrate and resonate at different frequencies when skiing. As a result, the materials cancel each other out creating a hyper-dampening ski experience without adding weight. This makes the Vision particularly stable at high speeds and able to cope with spontaneous manoeuvres easily.
A 5-cut geometry, blending 5 different radii shapes into the sidecut of the ski, so you have no boundaries with your turn shapes. The directional flex allows for easy turn initiation as well as allowing you to just bound through the bumps and jumps whilst the stiffer tail gives you superior stability, power, and speed control.
The Vision series is impressively stiff whilst being super playful. This ski is intuitive through bumps and chopped snow and feels comfortable at all speeds and in all turn shapes. The Vision floats fantastically well and is a great non-metal option for those wanting to cover every terrain they could encounter in the mountains.
