About the Lange XT3 120

The XT3 120 is Lange's top of the range all mountain freeride boot which are designed to be taken to absolute extreme. With mechanisms and features purpose built for the modern freeride skier the XT3 performs just as well uphill as it does descending back down.

With 100mm last width and 120 flex this boot definitely packs a punch, suitable for advanced skiers looking to use the boots in variety of skiing scenarios from dropping off cliffs in the back country to hiking up to discover fresh lines. The slightly softer flex than the XT3 130, it makes the XT3 120 more usable for advanced skiers who are buying their first pair of free-tour boots. Upper tier intermediates with a heavier frame would also be suitable for the XT3 120. The XT3 features Lange's new Active Power V-Lock and Friction Free Hinge for effortless mobility and range of motion on the way up. The Active Power V-Lock delivers an 11° increase in ROM when in hike mode making striding efficient reducing fatigue. Then lock it down into ski mode to hit those descents receiving the power, precision and control of a traditional alpine ski boot.

Dual Core Light technology is what sets Lange boots apart from the competition. Rather than joining together various sections of different plastics, Lange boots use a dual injection process to form two solid pieces of the boot's shell, the cuff and the clog. In each of these sections, two different densities of plastic are injected, with more rigid plastics in areas of high power transmission and softer plastics in areas associated with comfort and fit such as the ankle and lower leg. The result is a strong boot that is very lightweight perfect for exploring the back country.

Inside the XT3 120, you'll find the Dual 3D Liner Full which is Lange's most advanced lier. This is a Highly thermo mouldable liner which insulates the foot and can be shaped around the skiers foot to help achieve precise power transmission and the perfect anatomical fit. Three densities of foam positioned at key points within the liner such as the shinbone, ankle and toe box improve comfort as well as precision and control when you're out on the slopes.

At the base of the boot GripWalk soles offer increased traction and enhanced walking comfort whilst the newly developed Performance Boot Board is a superior insulated and shock absorber to cope with the stresses placed when skiing hard. The XT3 120 is full of features to make it a high performing all-mountain freeride/freetouring boot, it excels at ascending and descending the mountain.
