About the Lowepro PhotoSport PRO AW III 70
The Lowepro PhotoSport Pro is a backpack designed for adventure photographers who require complete versatility for multi-day journeys in the wilderness.
The pack is designed to protect photography equipment through the use of an integrated and removable Gear camera insert. The insert can be accessed from the front and rear of the bag and can accommodate a full size with up to a 70-200 lens and subsequent lenses.
The Lowepro PhotoSport Pro includes the Pro-XL Gearup camera cube meaning you'll be able to get out and start shooting in the hills immediately. Included with the pack are simple straps that can provide multiple carrying configurations for the Gear-up boxes, mobile phones, and as a stand-alone hip pack. Should you require additional space for backpacking equipment the cube can be swapped out for a Pro-L resulting in additional internal volume for camping kit.
Comfort is provided by the ActivLift harness system. An Interior aluminum frame combined with load lifters and a free pivoting waist belt is capable of transferring weight directly into the hips and legs. The length adjustment makes it easy to fit the length of your torso to the Pack. A generously sized airflow channel improves breathability when moving quickly in the mountains. Through the use of load lifters, the adjustable torso length and adjustable yoke angle ActivLift covers a range from 14 to 19 inches on the 55L & 15 to 21 inches on the 70L. You can also adjust the waist pad length and location with the ActivLiftTM system for a range of belt widths from 28 to 48 inches.
For improved comfort, packs are available in two sizes of the shoulder strap. The small-medium features a slight curve towards the end while the medium-large is longer and straighter for taller individuals. The straps feature a highly adaptable with a foam flexing system with the top of the strap featuring more supportive foam while the lower half is more flexible to accommodate different shapes.
The pack face is made of 420 denier nylon that is 85% recycled this is coated incur provide exceptional strength and resistance to abrasion, dirt, mud, and moisture. However, as with everything in the mountains, it is important to be prepared for the worst - should the heavens really open the pack also includes a 100% recycling waterproof rain cover.
The base of the pack is constructed with a 420D nylon that features a carbonate coating, so the same weight and strength characteristics are guaranteed as the face of the pack. However, the weave features a diamond ripstop pattern that doubles up protection improving durability and longevity. This material is highly resistant to wear with the ripstop pattern preventing small punctures from propagating into longer tears.
Photo Sport Pro represents the fourth pillar 2 Lowepros design. Referred to as Greenline it's a new standard where, as a brand, Lowepro is migrating to using more recycled fabric in a bid to offset carbon emissions.
