About the MSR Access 3

The MSR (Mountain Safety Research) Access 3 Tent gives you a winter-grade shelter with a low pack weight and strong, stable design to withstand the challenges of camping in alpine conditions.

Access series tents are designed to be lighter than a mountaineering tent, but warmer than standard backpacking tents. Limited mesh on the tent canopy helps retain warmth on cold nights while a lightweight and compact design saves you energy when hiking, climbing, or descending.

The Access features a fast-pitching, freestanding design with single-pole architecture for ease of setup in time-sensitive situations. The Easton® Syclone™ pole system uses a hubbed design made from cutting-edge composite materials that resist breaking in challenging conditions. A central-support frame further optimises interior space for increased head and shoulder room while resisting snow loading.

Two entrances and a vestibule on either side offer hassle-free access and added gear storage space while a 20D ripstop nylon canopy helps retain warmth. The rainfly features vents for reduced condensation and multiple guyline points for added stability when camping in exposed terrain.

The rainfly features MSR's Xtreme Shield™ weather protection using a polyurethane/silicone coating that holds up to heavy rain, UV-light, and long periods in storage.

A favourite among backcountry skiers and splitboarders, and winter hikers, the MSR Access 3 Tent gives you a low pack weight (2.30kg) with a technical design crafted for camping in less severe winter conditions such as those near tree-line.
