The Fox CLT is the narrowest of Majesty's touring options, designed for ambitious ascents where low weight, manoeuvrability and reliability are essential. As part of Majesty's CLT range, this ski features state-of-the-art construction and materials which enhance performance and reduce weight, to make the journey up just as much fun as the ski back down.
Carbon Lighten Technology means that while it shares the same touring-orientated geometry as Majesty's classic Fox, this ski features a full carbon fibre layup and an improved core construction which improves rigidity and responsiveness while reducing weight. Carbon fibre has an exceptional strength to weight ratio and is rigid without being brittle, eliminating the use of heavier, bulkier materials to give the ski strength. This lends the ski incredible torsional stability while keeping weight to a minimum - meaning that it's light and nimble when you're touring and hiking, but can still handle high speeds, intense ascents and choppy terrain when it's time to ski.
Built around a brand new semi-hybrid core comprised of lightweight paulownia with a carbon layup, this ski retains the damp, stable qualities and high impact absorption you'd expect from a wood core, combined with the low weight, high strength and torsional rigidity of carbon fibre, which makes for easy, enjoyable ascents and super fun, supportive ascents. Design characteristics such as majority camber profile and a sidewall construction are key to improving performance when skiing, but also help keep the edges grippy when you're on the ski track. A slight rocker in the tip helps smooth out turn initiations and helps when breaking trail through fresh snow.
With a waist width ranging from 78 to 84mm (dependent on length) the ski is narrow enough to feel nimble and easy to bring around when performing kick turns, and tour-specific features like skin clips in the tail make for easy transitions between climbing and skiing that are particularly useful in steep alpine terrain.
Overall, the Majesty Fox CLT is an excellent blend of lightweight practicality for technical touring terrain over long distances, that you can still rely on to be a fun ski when making your way back down.
Carbon Lighten Technology - Improved performance by reducing weight while adding flex and rigidity using Carbon/Kevlar fibres and lightweight materials
Full Carbon Fibre Layup - Carbon Kevlar fibres are extremely lightweight and strong, improving torsional rigidity and stiff flex while keeping weight to a minimum
Paulownia Wood Core - Full tip to tail Paulownia provides natural durability with extremely low weight
Triaxial Fibreglass - The core is wrapped in fibreglass to increase the skis response without making it too aggressive and keeping it easy to handle
90° ABS Sidewalls - Sidewall construction makes the ski responsive edge to edge whilst ABS reduces vibration and makes the ski more comfortable
Skin Clip Tails - Specific tail shaping for securing skin clips
Shock Absorbers - Extra edge protection with added vibration reduction
Featherweight - Thinned sections of wood in the core make for a lighter and easier to handle ski
