Ideal for belaying, climbing or frozen hikes in the deep winter, the Gangstang jacket from Montane utilizes PrimaLoft® Gold synthetic insulation, boasting a clo value of 0.92 which provides the same insulation as 550 fill-power down, enabling you to stay warm, safe, and comfortable whilst mountaineering.
The Pertex® Quantum Pro material of the Gangstang provides a high-level of water and weather resistance, perfect for trekking through snow, climbing up frozen waterfalls, or for when you’re caught in an unexpected winter downpour. With the 100% recycled nylon in the core body panels, you can be secure in the jacket’s flexibility during any difficult positions whilst climbing, abseiling, or belaying, along with the security of knowledge that the recycled design limits any environmental impact, keeping the natural world as pristine as possible to enjoy mountaineering in.
Furthermore, the PEAQ Synthetic Eco lining is also 100% recycled, offering luxurious comfort whilst being highly breathable and rapid drying, ensuring that body warmth is retained whilst moisture dissipates without compromising the jacket’s water resistance.
A fully adjustable insulated hood can be rolled away in high wind conditions and has been designed to fit over a climbing helmet. In order to further maintain thermostasis, Montane’s Gangstang jacket also possesses an internal storm flap behind a YKK main zip to reduce unwanted wind drafts, whilst an adjustable hem can be cinched down with a drawcord to lock in heat.
