The newly redesigned Gallatin Peak 40 is Mystery Ranch's largest pack on the market, great for multi-day hikes, hut trips and ski and snowboarding professional's.

The new Gallatin Peak 40 offers superior organization and rapid deploy access in deep, backcountry environments. Including glove-friendly buckles and 320d Phantom Ripstop fabric with wax face coating ensuring this pack will "handle the randle" of everyday use and abuse. Featuring a fully adjustable chest harness for different torso lengths, and a removable waist strap making this pack super comfortable even when fully loaded. Externally there are dual compression straps to the front of the pack, perfect for packing down your rucksack and for A-frame ski carrying, with the added oversized gear loop at the bottom of the base.

Mystery Ranch has thought through the conditions in which this pack will be used most often, allowing for multiple opening points to ensure ease of access to your pack even when carrying your ski's, split board or snowboard. Simply place your pack front down on the snow, open the body panel at the rear to allow access to the entirety of your pack whilst keeping the likes of snow and dirt away from your possessions
Under the lid of the bag, there's plenty of extra storage space for your helmet or any extra gear. A nicely placed compression strap has also been fitted under the lid to allow further compression of your pack or to hang ropes. A further 2 pockets have been added to the lid of the bag, one smaller pocket perfect for keeping medical kits and radio's quick to access in deep, backcountry environments. And then a soft fabric-lined pocket to keep your goggles safe and scratch-free.

A neatly designed helmet carrying system deploy's from the front of the pack, connected to the pack using G hooks and when not in use this deploy system can be stuffed back inside the bottom pocket of the pack.
Brightly coloured orange zipper tabs are perfect, so you can easily see and grab them when out in the snow or possible avalanche situations, the front pocket doubles up as a great place to store your snow shovel, receiver, snow saw and ski probe. Internally the bag features a hydration bladder sleeve for when out in cooler climates, and the main compartment is more than large enough to store extra first aid kit supplies, food and layers.
