About the Mystery Ranch Thread Bed
The Thread Bed from Mystery Ranch is a smartly organized way to carry ice screws, tools and other gear.
The Thread Bed can carry a total of 10screws, 7 pockets to the front and 3 more on the flip side of the pocket, and 2 additional pouches on the rear, one to keep smaller things safe and a larger pocket for spectres and pitons. With the middle sleeve being the longest at 22cm, the rest of the sleeves cater to a more standard size. The pocket has been carefully designed utilising the attachment Retention flaps at the top of the pocket to be, both user friendly when reaching for your gear, and ensuring a secure hold on your screws should the pack be tipped upside down or tossed into your pack.
Constructed using 840d TPU nylon, a fantastically durable and abrasion-resistant material making it ideal for its intended use. And the Thread Bed uses a Mono mesh at bottom of each sleeve, this doubles up for drainage of water and ice keeping your gear in tip-top condition, and secondly, due to the properties of the Mono mesh, it stops the need for rubber stoppers on your screws as it will protect all of their threads.
The Thread Bed can be easily rolled up and secured using a bungee strap. And if you decide to run a lighter kit, you can wrap your crampons in for a light and versatile setup. Great for transporting your ice screws, and just as great being used as a storage unit making the most out of the gear tab allowing you to hang the pocket for overnight drainage without having to unpack each screw individually.
