About the Never Summer Harpoon
The 2021 Never Summer Harpoon snowboard is a mash up of the popular Shaper Series boards, the Intagator and Maverix. This tapered volume board is incredibly stable and smooth to ride, cut through deep pow and hold lines like no other!
The Harpoon uses Never Summer's Fusion Rocker Camber Profile for an incredibly smooth ride designed to give vice like edge hold which is perfect for precision in hard and icy conditions. The underfoot camber blends into rocker in the rest of the board, the front has a longer transition area giving the rider pop & powder performance for a true floaty, surfy dynamic experience.
Featuring the Vario Power Grip Sidecut which gives you the control you need for your speed. It has a straight section between the bindings, a shallow radius section under the feet and a deep radius section on the contact points. The sidecut gives riders quick turn initiation and better edge hold by creating more contact points along the edge. No one likes having an edge wash out, the Power Grip sidecut prevents this and allows you to keep control in icy and windblown conditions.
The Harpoon features the incredible RDS 2 Damping System, but also Never Summer's Underfoot Elastomeric Stabilisers. Packed full of damping layers and vibration absorption technology, these two features working together give you an unbelievably smooth ride and much improved stability at high speeds.
With a slightly wider waist width than average, the Harpoon has a significantly large surface area, giving you more options when it comes to choosing a size. For a more nimble & playful ride, you can go 10cm less than your standard ride, perfect for darting in & out of the trees and allowing for playful riding in all conditions. If you want a more cushy ride that is super responsive, feel free to go up 10cm from standard - it's up to you!
The Harpoon has remarkable speed, this is all down to the Durasurf XT Sintered 5501 Base. This high density sintered base is enhanced with graphite, to create a highly durable and super fast base so you can charge through anything at lightening speed. This base is only featured on Never Summers high end boards so you know you are getting the best!
Don't let this put you off if you're new to the sport, this board is highly accessible and will be super fun for all levels, be it seasoned experts or budding beginners!

- STS Pre-Tensioned Fibreglass - This pre-hardened, pre-tensioned and layered laminate has added elastomer stringers between 0 and 90 degrees, this produces a super strong bond between the fibre laminates and gives snowboards excellent strength, edge hold and performance
- NS SuperLight Wood Core- Uses sustainably grown, genetically modified Poplar wood fused with Birch hardwood, this is one of the lightest, most durable cores on the market
- RDS 2 Damping System - A lightweight system which uses three narrow laminated damping layers which give the perfect combination of vibration absorption and stability. It is perfect for both liveliness and control
- Vario Power Grip Sidecut - Uses multiple radius's to create more contact points when flexed for supreme edge hold
- P-Tex Tip/Tail Protection - Seals and protects the wood core whilst also absorbing vibration and impact
- Bi-Lite Fibreglass - an amazingly strong laminate that simply lasts longer and delivers incredibly smooth turn initiation
